Great varietal,one of my favorites..
I was thinking about something the other day,you can tell me if I am on the right track..
I was thinking that perhaps producers these days are softening Tannat up TOO MUCH.. Removing or filing down its teeth so to speak..
Granted,I have only had 4 or 5 producers(France and Uruguay).
The Tannants from the Midi have the highest level of procyanidans and are considered the most heart healthy. ❤️

My case of 23 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande came into the country yesterday. Ordered it in June 24, so it’s been sitting in Bordeaux for a while! One for the future, will see what it’s doing in 20 years time :).
