We take Freja, our Fleming Yachts 85 motor yacht from Palermo to Antibes on the French Riviera. We’ve already had some amazing destinations since we arrived here in the Mediterranean Sea. Sure, it’s 2.5 million square kilometers and we’ve barely scratched the surface.
Our first stop was Genoa, then to Corsica and on to Sardinia, Rome and the Pontine Islands and then the Italian Riviera, then the amazing Aeolian Islands before getting to Sicily.
The Italian culture is so warm and friendly and the food, well that’s just been absolutely amazing. The wine too!
Today we continue our journey – Palermo, back to Sardinia then up to Corsica and on across to Antibes on the French Riviera.
We’ve got plans for next year in Turkey, Greece and Croatia before heading to Sweden and Norway.

I like Corsica, super place to hang out. Once, during a looooong charter, the skipper gave us 4 hours ashore as a break. While the guests went to a swanky restaurant, I piled into the closest cafe. I ordered a pizza and a bottle of red. At the bar was a pretty waitress and 8 HUGE French Foreign Legion troopers. I asked the waitress to sit with me and have a glass of wine. I could feel 16 eyes burning a hole in the back of my neck as we sat and giggled. The troops are under very strict rules while stationed on the island and couldn't do a dang thing. It's nice to score a point for the skinny blond boys.
