I eat at and review Daniel on the Upper East Side of New York City. Daniel is Chef Daniel Boulud’s flagship restaurant. It’s one of the most notable French fine dining establishments in NYC. It opened back in 1993 and has been a popular fixture ever since. Daniel even has a Michelin star. The restaurant was extra special for me since it was my 100th Michelin starred restaurant that I’ve dined at.

  1. Hi James! Just got a chance to watch this video. Simply wonderful to say the least. So glad you got to experience this fine location on your special occasion. Thanks a million for sharing this with the world 💫. Happy New Year we'll be watching ❤

  2. Congratulations on your 100th Michelin star, James! I recently stumbled upon your channel, but I've already watched a lot of your videos, and I really don't understand why you don't have 1,000,000 subscribers yet. I hope the YouTube algorithm notices you soon. You truly deserve it! Your reviews are focused, thoughtful, and don't overdo it with unnecessary nonsense. You can just tell that good food is your passion. You also have a radio voice and speak clearly, which is a plus. By the way, my wife and I had lunch at Gramercy Tavern two years ago, and we really enjoyed the burger too 🙂

  3. James! That awesome scallop dish was free? You need to go lickity-split to drop off another 50 bucks for the wait staff!

  4. Now that you’ve eaten at 100, it would be interesting to see a vlog with your favorite top 5 Michelin starred restaurants.

  5. cheap ingredients, cooked fast . You know you are getting ripped off when:

    1. A restaurant talks more about "sustainable" " farm" "and "experience" than actual food .

    2. When a kitchen spends more time plating the food than coking.

    Enjoy being ripped off, suckers.

  6. New subscriber. Really enjoy!! I like that you go slow and explain the dishes and show the decor!! Come to Vegas and try some of our great restaurants!! Happy New Year.

  7. The Michelin guide wont like the staining outside from the plants. Thats how pathetic they are. That said the food and experience looked fantastic

  8. I had the pleasure to eat at Daniel Boulud’s restaurant, Le Voyage on the Celebrity Ascent at his Chef’s Table. The seven service meal was delicious, a special culinary experience.

  9. Every dish was described as flavorful… lol.. was it smokey? was it nutty? was it acidic? Can we get more in depth analysis in stead of just general boring terms?

  10. Congrats on your Century Ride! 😬 It really is a journey, isn't it! Looking forward to the next 100!

  11. Haha😊 Thank you for sharing your restaurant selection here. Very nice and congratulations on your 100th restaurant!! Well, Happy New Years to you. 🥂 🎉😊 Cheers!!!❤

  12. As someone who is married to a free mission, Starr chef who actually knows Daniel by first name basis I am shocked that you say this is a fine restaurant and yet go there unshaven and without a tie. Oh well, what do you expect from somebody who is a YouTuber. Maybe you can order class on the menu

  13. Wow – that is one of the most elegant meals I've seen. And, I appreciate the comparisons over the years. For $300, however, filling up on bread leaves me wondering – how would you have felt without it? Love the goal for Michelin restaurants! Keep up the videos!

  14. Congratulations on your achievement. I always enjoy your videos and have a great deal of respect for someone with diverse eating interests. Sadly, I am rather picky but have enjoyed venturing into some new eating establishments. Stay positive in being yourself and have a nice new year. 🎉🎉🎉

  15. Michlin star chefs are over rated today 2025 ,for the last decade they been giving away stars like candy, to chefs that dont even stand behind the stove, too busy fishing for compliments 😮😊😂

  16. ok! I am not a hater of food reviews or of wonderful & expensive restaraunts. I love heRaing about chefs and new dining experieinces

however. watching Mr. Andrews eat PASTA in public on camera is a truely NAUSEATING EXPERIEINCE!

MR. ANDREWS HAS NO @ TABLE or KNIFE SKILLS.

MR. ANDREWS HAS NO PASTA EATING SKILLS @ ALL – WATCHING HIM EAT LONG, MESSY BLOBS OF SAUCED PASTAS IS

    100 % NAUSEATING!

WATCHING THIS MR. ANDREWS SHOVE LARGE OR BULKY AMOUNTS OF FOOD INTO HIS MOUTH AT ONE TIME

(NO MATTER HOW GOURMET THAT FOOD – IS)

IS A TRULY SICKENING EXPERIEINCE TO WATCH ON YOUTUBE.

WHILE I APPRECIATE MR. ANDREWS ORDERING EFFORTS, HIS EXPENSE OF THESE REVIEWS AND HIS LIGHT AND BREEZY FOOD

REVIEWS, MR. ANDREWS, COULD OF AT THE VERY LEAST CHECKED HIS NON-EXISTENT TABLE & EATING MANNERS BEFORE

HE EVER BEGAN THIS YOUTUBE ENDEAVOR.

WHILE I AM NOT INTERESTED IN EATING SNAILS, SQUID, OCTOPUS, ETC. I DO NOT FIND HIM OFFENSIVE FOR DOING SO.

I HAVE (2) SUGGESTIONS FOR MR. ANDREWS:

    1) BUY & COMPREHEND & READ BOOKS ON EATING @ TABLES & TABLE MANNERS, AND KNIFE SKILLS FOR FINE DINING EXPERIENCES.

    2) HONESLTY, MR. ANDREWS YOUR TABLE MANNERES ARE MUCH WORSE THAN EVEN THE (uk) YOUNGSTER – MR. TITCHMARCH

(COUNTRY LlIVING ONLINE MAGAZINE) WHO ACTUALLY HAS THE TABLE MANNERS OF A NEATHDERTHAL.

I DO NOT SAY THIS TO BE CRUEL TO EITHER OF YOU, BUT REALLY WATCHING YOU EAT PASTA, I HAVE TO TURN WAY! IF I WRE IN A

RESTRAUNT WHERE EITHER YOU OR (UK) MR. TITCHMARCH WALKED INSIDE TO WRITE/ FILM AN EATING REVIEW, I WOULD HAVE TO

LEAVE THAT ESTABLISHMENT UNTIL BOTH OF YOU CAVE MAN EATERS LEFT THE PLACE. I AM AGAIN, NOT TRYING TO BE

INSULTING OR CRUEL BUT COME ON!
