Here’s how to make my famous Hawaiian Roll French Toast.

Ingredients:
– Hawaiian Rolls
– Eggs
– Half & Half
– Heavy Whipping Cream
– Salted Butter
– Vanilla Extract
– Sugar
– Salt
– Ground Cinnamon

Step 1: Create the Custard
Crack eggs into a large bowl and sprinkle with salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Add half & half, heavy cream, and a dash of vanilla extract before whisking until smooth & creamy.

Step 2: Soak the Rolls
Give your rolls a quick dunk in the soaking custard before adding to a deep pan. Pour the custard over the rolls and give them a flip or two until each roll is well-coated. Try soaking for 20-30 minutes for a real custard texture on the inside!

Step 3: Cook & Serve
Heat a pan or griddle to low-medium and add a few pats of salted butter to melt. Add your rolls to the pan and cook until golden brown, flipping often to let the insides cook without burning the outsides.

Once cooked through and golden, remove to a plate, top with pure maple syrup and powdered sugar, and serve immediately.

These are so easy to make, but taste like you spent hours in the kitchen. Make these over the holiday weekend and let me know what you think.

  1. ❤️ besides the kids loving them.. what about the adults? We're not orphans.. through the YouTube the way you were making them there to die for.. so darn delicious cannot wait to make them ASAP 👕

  2. Lmao at the way he says "Grade A" like that even means anything anymore. That's how you can tell this dude is more of an influencer than a chef.

  3. You have done honour to french toast. The soak. The grill. The 100% Canadian maple syrup. ❤️🇨🇦❤️

  4. There was a cafe on St. Joseph Island Ontario (Anne's) that made their own soft white bread and did this except you added the cinnamon at the table and buttered the crap out of em and yes used local maple syrup mined on the island (.50extra).. Melt in your mouth sweet- soft gooey on the inside and still crunch on the outside It was hands down the best french toast in the world . We used to call the island "French toast island "when we planned a trip there. I'll have to grab some buns and give it a go.

  5. Let the rolls get a little stale. Makes them crispy on the outside and custardy on the inside. Thats actually why french toast was invented. It was a way to get rid of stale bread

  6. what's up my brother? Big fan Canadian from Windsor, Ontario you got to love that. 100% Canadian maple syrup. Best stuff right from Montreal, Quebec, Canada maple syrup💪😜👍🇨🇦

  7. Croissant as a base is better. Your recipe with the 1/2 and 1/2 and heavy cream take is a step above just milk. Great tip.
