  1. loveeee french culture but just been to paris and this is rare…. not a lot of woman follow these etiquette LOL!! these are good tips though if followed properly and if it doesnt lead to an ed!

  2. I'm French and, except for the last point, French women just are as everyone else. Some French women just like to pretend in front of foreigners that's all…

  3. Need to stop fantasizing about french women lol😂expect the last one maybe, but just yes, we snack, we eat in front of tv, some have terrible manners, and we can still eat when full. We are the land of heavy dish like raclette and tertiflette dear…

  4. Hey Lucy, been following you for a few months now and happy to say your advice on non-restriction, gentle movement/lifestyle, and intuitive eating has helped me feel better and lose up to six extra pounds (over the course of six months) you’re such a gem ❤❤😊 thank you!!

  5. For the last one – there's a difference in North America – and there's a difference in how you do it and why. Allergy? Yes, you can ask for something not added to your plate. Can you ask for mashed potatoes made without dairy? NO, they're pre-made. So you do have to be sensible. We do often have options already listed, like what type of side you want, or a vegetarian version, or a gluten-free bread option. These are on the menu and therefore OK. But having been out with people who ask endless questions and specify exactly what they want excluded from their meal – yeah it's annoying for your friends and even worse for the kitchen. Order something else or cook your own food!

  6. I've noticed french throw lots of food away. Doggy bagging doesn't seem to be a thing. So much food wastage

  7. The snacking in between meals is my problem I don’t in front of the tv and I do stop eating when I’m full.

  8. I find it difficult to believe that French women, which is is ultimately generalizing that this is all French women, don’t practice any of the habits. I have friends who are French and who LOVE watching their favorite shows while eating. Also, I’m sure there are many if not all these things you’re listing that French women (or French people) do.

  9. I'm french and I eat in front of TV (well… "computer" since I don't own a TV) it's a good time to watch a show, movie or video. But we don't have our phone at the table while eating. I find it rude.
There are families who don't watch TV when eating, especially with young children who are not supposed to watch screens. But for most people it's common to do it.

It's correct for most things, no snacking because I eat enough at regular meals, just a "goûter" sometimes.

  10. You look american. Then sometimes I hear a deep french accent in certain words and im like yeah she's french lol
