  1. Yes it is overrated… you spent way too long prepping it, I love the videos but quick and simple is where it’s at, the normal people who didn’t spend half their life in a kitchen wouldn’t care for this difference

  2. Am I the only one who thinks filet mignon doesn't benefit from reverse sear as much? It doesn't have enough fat, nor is it thick enough. If you sear it first and then bring it up to temp, it should have a more intense crust.

  3. As long as you don’t put bacon on it I’m fine lol. Bacon flavored stake don’t taste good to me.

  4. I'd rather have a ribeye, hanger, flatiron, denver or hell some sirloin cuts.

    If I wanted an extremely tender, but nearly flavourless piece of meat, I'd go for pork tenderloin, at least the price is almost reasonable.

  5. As someone whose cooked steak and pan sauce 100+ times, i will NEVER be able to make my sauce in time for the steak to still be warm 😭

  6. Whoever’s editing these needs to breathe between cuts and stop snorting espresso. I came to watch a recipe, not train for a seizure. Feels like I watched someone make dinner during a car crash.

  7. You should make some more videos of budget alternatives. Like a faux fillet mignon using a cheaper cut of meat, but because of the preparation tastes just as good

  8. It is overrated !!! It barely tastes like beef!!! It’s the chicken of the beef world !!! You have to season the crap out of it to get any flavor from it !!! Therefore, WHY NOT JUST BUY CHEAP MEAT AND SEASON THE SHIT OUT OF THAT ?? WHY WOULD I PAY RIDICULOUS MONEY FOR SOMETHING INHAVE TO DROWN IN SEASONINGS !! Unfuck your thought process kiddo

  10. Still – i agree to the first statement.
    Filet mignions are the rice of beef. Always tastes good when everything around is is well made, tastes like nothing when everything around it is not there – but still not bad.
