If you’ve ever tried to bake bread and ended up with something dense or sad-looking, this one’s for you. In this video, Abigail is walking you through my simple homemade French bread recipe, step by step. You’ll learn how to read the dough so it turns out soft on the inside, crusty on the outside, and absolutely perfect every time.
In this video, we’ll talk about:
– How to tell when your dough has been kneaded enough
– My trick for getting that bakery-style crispy crust (without any fancy tools)
– And check out the blog post for how to freeze extra loaves so you can have fresh bread ready any night of the week
Because here’s the thing, you don’t need to be a professional baker to make good bread. You just need someone to show you the right way. And you CAN do this.

No doubt in my mind Abigail will be well equipped to run her household when her time comes! Great job, mom!
Wonderful job Abigal! What type of mixer are you using?
😄 And what a little clone of your Mom you are! Huge compliment there!
Nicely done. One tip: to prevent the dough from getting a "skin" on it, I dampen the towel before covering the dough. Works well for a dry climate like Utah.
Such a sweet spirt on her. I really enjoyed her video and I hope she does more. It was so refreshing to see a young lady so confident and skilled at homemaking.
Great job Abigail!!!! Looking forward to more videos from you! You were taught well!
I always stop whatever I’m doing and give my full attention to Abigail’s videos. They are always full of good information and her charming personality.
Well done!!
Abagail, your smile is contagious.
Please remove the music, it is too loud and distracting.
Thank you for your attention to this matter
Love, love, love this! What a poised and articulate, lovely young woman. Thank you for the helpful demo. (Much enjoyed your voice… the music became a bit distracting for me but will definitely be trying this recipe now.) Thank you! 🙏🤍
Amazing job Abigail!! 👏
Beautiful tutorial….. great ability to clearly teach.
Great job! I love to learn and you are a great teacher
Abigail, thank you so much for this video! Very thorough and clearly explained. I've never made French bread, but feel confident that I can by following your instructions 😊.
I would not have expected the steam pan for the crust, thanks for the tip!!
Good job
Just to let you know, there's no difference between white and whole wheat flour in north America! Because there both 100% gulten unless you use the stuff from Europe which is 10% with all the minerals you need
Also to much gulten will make your teeth decay faster
What kind of mixer is that
Well done Abigail 😊Very clear instruction
Thank you, Abigail, for such a wonderfully done video. Very professional! I can't wait to try this on my next batch of bread.
Awesome job Abigail!
Excellent presentation! Very helpful. I Like it with just butter, sometimes toasted sometimes not. Thanks again.
Awesome job! I’m gonna make your recipe. Thanks for sharing
Great job Abigail! You made that look so easy.
Great instructions. Music is annoying.
A igail is the first of several I think…..wonderful job honey!!!
