  1. I use Martha Stewart’s pie crust recipe and the recipe on the Libby’s pumpkin can. That’s how my Mother taught me and now I’m teaching my granddaughter.

  2. THANKS FOR THE INFOR. IT LOOKS AMAZING! Ok Ok, I have been looking at your books! I can’t afford all at one time……which book have this yummy recipe! I’ll start there first! 😂😂❤❤

  3. Hello! It would be interesting to see a pumpkin turnover recipe — I made the apple turnover recipe and everyone loved it!

  4. I got a huge decorative pumpkin for $1 and I didn't know that jack o lantern pumpkins are different from other pumpkins, I thought all pumpkins were good to eat. Well, I made this recipe with that pumpkin and still tasted delicious. It tastes like a mix of sweet potato and pumpkin. I also replaced the evaporated milk with coconut milk and turned out well.

I love your recipes and books, specially the salad with chicken, celery and grapes.

  5. I just searched Pumpkin Pie Recipe and the top two videos are both yours. I from three years ago, and this one from yesterday. What happened?

  6. Our family has lived off my great aunt's AMAZING pumpkin pie recipe every holiday season for longer than I've been alive, and she swears by Libby's, absolutely will not touch anything else. You know your stuff, sir 🫡

  7. John, I love everything you do, but please stop saying that people outside the US don't use pumpkin in sweet recipes. I currently reside in Italy, and there's a tradition of cakes and cookie-like sweets made with it. I've seen pumpkin-based desserts in other parts of Europe and in South America. Maybe exploring how the same ingredients are used and combined in other cultures could be interesting for the channel.

  8. I like to make pumpkin pie from scratch so relaxing and feels like cottage core its a lot of work to do normally takes a whole morning and I make enough for my parents house my house and one for my brother and niece

  9. My favorite is sweet potato pie! My enslaved ancestors created and perfected it. One of the key ingredients is 1-1 1/2 teaspoons of lemon extract.

  10. This is a great recipe! If you want to kick up the warming spice factor, add a bit of coarse ground cardamom. It's a gamechanger for basically any recipe with cinnamon.🤘

  11. I'm an American living in Germany and I really enjoyed the extra tip about where to find the ingredients internationally. 🙂

  12. I live in Argentina, but I was born in the US. Admittedly, I've never been a fan of pumpkin pie, but I haven't had it since 1998 and was thinking about celebrating Thanksgiving this year (even though you can't find turkey here, or cranberries, or cans of pumpkin puree, or pumpkins for that matter…. oh, and it's almost summer and it's about 33"c / 91"f outside). I may give this recipe a try, even if I have to substitute the pumpkin for squash. Thank you!

  13. I couldn't crimp my crust right. Now, after this video I can. It's a little thing, but presentation is a big thing.

  14. I always use my own pumpkin puree and add flour or corn starch to take care of the wateryness (yes, that's a word 🙂

  15. Can i use fresh ginger into the recipe? and if yes how should i add it? same question goes with cloves. i have ginger and cloves but not grounded ones

  16. I moved here from London. My first attempt at pumpkin pies. They turned out wonderful. Unfortunately for me I didn’t put sugar in the filling. It didn’t mention adding sugar. They were terrible.

  17. Fair warning, if you use Pillsbury deep dish premade pie dough, all that filling will not fit. Also, pour the filling into the shell with it on a tray. That aluminum pie tin will not hold its shape and will spill. Don't ask😅 also, it needed an extra ten minutes for me and that's with less filling.
