Everyone should have the chance to taste this classic French soup in their life, so why not make it in your very own kitchen? This is a simplified recipe using store bough beef stock to show you that it doesn’t have to take all day long to whip this up…it may not win an award, but it’ll taste like it did with out a doubt. Ingredients:
4-5 cups sliced sweet onions
2 quarts beef stock
1 tbsp sherry or malt vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp butter
Sprig of rosemary and thyme
1 cup dry white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
Sliced sourdough
Sliced Gruyère or Swiss cheese

  1. French onion soup is one of my favorites 🤤 and that chef's looks exquisite 😋 I like to toast the bread before putting it in the soup because I can't handle the soggy texture of the bread when it absorbs the liquid 🤢and that helps a little to delay that process ☺
