(ad) Toffee Apple French Toast 

This is your sign to make toffee apple french toast!! It’s crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and is topped with sweet and sticky toffee apples. Made with @glebefarmfoods PureOaty Creamy & Enriched oat drink for the perfect gluten and dairy free breakfast!

Ingredients (Serves 2):
For the apples:
2 peeled and sliced apples
2 tbsp dairy free butter
40g brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon 
1 tbsp dairy free cream or 1 tbsp PureOaty Creamy & Enriched oat drink

For the French toast:
1 tbsp dairy free butter
2 eggs 
100ml Glebe Farm PureOaty Creamy & Enriched oat drink
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 x slices of gluten free bread 

Method
1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together egg, PureOaty Creamy & Enriched oat drink and vanilla extract until smooth. 
2. Dip each slice of gluten free bread into the mixture for up to one minute on each side. Melt the butter in a saucepan on a medium heat and cook each slice of bread until golden brown on both sides. 
3. To a saucepan, add butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir until combined then add the sliced apples. Cook on a low heat for a few minutes until the apples have softened and the sauce has started to thicken. Add the dairy free cream and mix well. 
4. Add the apple mixture on top of the french toast and enjoy! 

I love a little bit of crunch with my breakfast, so I recommend adding a sprinkle of Glebe Farm PureOaty granola on top! If you have a sweet tooth and want to make this extra indulgent, add a scoop of dairy free ice cream or a generous drizzle of custard.
