  6. "From scratch" means "from ingredients". You don't have to harvest, refine, & enrich your own flour for it to be "from scratch". People are silly.

  7. My husband bought me an expensive stand mixer. It's been collecting dust since the spring. This is a perfect way to finally use it!

  8. So no one has made from scratch everything because they didn't harvest the flour, they didn't process the sugar after picking the canes etc etc.

  9. What makes it French ? The milk is from a French cow ? I live in France and I’ve never seen anyone make butter with yogurt! You Americans frustrate the life out of me. I bet you’ve never even been to France.

    They are selling butter for less than it costs to make it yourself!!! 😀

  13. Hi, I'm french. Our butter isn't sour. It's not cultured. It's mainly pasteurized even. Must be the British and the clotted cream that you are thinking of maybe ?

  14. I have a friend who dated a guy who would say stuff like that to people! “That’s not from scratch cuz you didn’t grow the potatoes” brother, when was the last time you grew something that wasn’t in your pants? 😂

  15. The person who told you it isn't from scratch because you didn't milk the cow, reminds me of someone online that told me I didn't give birth to my kids because I had C-sections. So now I tell my kids a gave surgical procedure instead of birth to them. People ar so dumb sometimes.

  16. Big issue for us living in the USA: 99% of heavy cream, and surely all cream in supermarkets, including Whole Foods, contains stabilizers and cannot be used to make butter.

Okayy so I agree they are just being silly but how do you make it not from scratch? like is there specific labelled jars of cream or maybe something in the freezer section, surely not next to the cake mixes etc. like I could ask about the yogurt added was it nancy's probiotic whole milk yogurt? either way #content so win win
