French Beans & Carrot Curry (Baby-friendly recipe)

Ingredients:
1 small carrot, 6–7 french beans,1 small tomato, 1 small onion, 2-3 garlic clove, ½ tsp ghee, Jeera and Rai and a pinch each of turmeric (haldi), coriander (dhaniya) powder, and pepper powder and a little water

Method:
1. Steam the veggies: Steam the chopped french beans and carrot for 6–8 minutes or until soft. Keep aside.

2. Prepare the curry base: Heat ½ tsp ghee in a pan on low flame. Add jeera and rai (a pinch), chopped garlic, and onions. Sauté on low-medium flame for 2–3 minutes till onions turn light pink and soft. Add chopped tomato, haldi, dhaniya powder, and pepper powder. Mix well and cook on low flame for 3–4 minutes till tomatoes turn mushy. Add 2–3 tbsp water, cover, and cook for 2 minutes to make a soft puree base.

3. Blend and cook: Grind the steamed beans and carrot along with the tomato-onion mixture to make a smooth puree. In the same pan, heat ½ tsp ghee, add the puree, cover, and cook on low flame for 3–4 minutes.

4. Serve: Serve warm with soft chapati, khichdi, or rice.
