What does a French movie star actually eat in a day?
In this video, I look at how Catherine Deneuve — one of France’s most iconic actresses — might eat on a typical day when she is not on set.
Simple meals, real ingredients, timeless and very French.

  1. I love Catherine Deneuve 😍 love this vlog too. Now, if only only i could look like her after eating this 😍😊😀 would love to see a Brigitte Bardot one too x

  2. Bonjour, Hope you're doing well. In this video, I wanted to try to eat like Catherine Deneuve because I think she is the most French of our actresses. I hope you like😀

  3. Chouette, quelle surprise!

  4. If you want eat like Madame Deneuve, first you have to hire a personal chef😂 No it was fun And I really want to now how all those celebrities eat in real life thats almost never a topic in interviews. But I think the french diet you show is high in protein AND fat and low in carbs, that might be the reason why most french people are slimmer than the test. If you like Sophia Loren she wrote a cookbook many many years ago, in her case way more carbs because of all the pasta but in moderation she sad in interviews.

  5. What a fun and charming idea! Thank you – this really made me smile😊 An iconic actress, chic Paris views and delicious French food! I always enjoy your recipes involving cheese and that you focus on how healthy it is and the importance of enough protein. The toasted sandwiches looked amazing 🥰

  6. My mother was a great admirer of Catherine Deneuve; hence, I remember some details mentioned in magazine interviews of the 1970s, 80s.
Another commenter mentioned about lemon water, but Ms. Deneuve only started that habit later in life.
By today's standards, she was not "health conscious," as she stated in several interviews that she loves a good meal, especially after a day of filming, including wine, pastry, liqueur. Her lover Roger Vadim, when they lived together, cooked often, especially Russian "imperial" recipes, which he said Catherine loved (it is in his book).
Also, there is a video here on YouTube about the making of Les Demoiselles de Rochefort in which Catherine is seated at a long table with cast and crew sharing a meal, and she is eating liberally and drinking a large glass of red wine.
Even more, she smoked heavily until just a few years ago.
Her mother, whom she resembles very much, lived to almost 110 years in good health, so Catherine no doubt has good genetics.
She was never devoted to exercise other than walking and gardening and some ballet barre and stretching earlier in her life (recall from a Vogue interview).
Her lifestyle seems very contrary to now, i.e., no smoking, no alcohol, no sugar, gym workouts, "clean" beauty, etc.

  7. Such a lovely video with delicious food ideas. I especially like the goat cheese toast and salmon. Thank you for your wonderful videos, they are always interesting and calming.💕

  8. I loved this video! Who wouldn’t want to eat like Catherine Deneuve!
Here’s an idea for videos-why not choose the healthiest foods from various regions of France & cook them? Although I’ve been married to a 🇫🇷 man forever, I had never eaten food from Alsace until a few years ago & I was astonished at how different it is from what I’ve experienced in other regions of France.
