This is YUKI from Bacchus!
If you see this adorable beckoning cat label, it might be a sign of good fortune! But this wine has a secret… it’s not just cute, it’s seriously impressive.
Today, we’re introducing Léon Heitzmann’s “Cuvée MANEKINEKO,” a star wine featured in volume 35 of the legendary manga, “The Drops of God”!
🍷 Uncorking the Secrets!
Why a Japanese Cat on a French Wine?
The winemaker fell in love with a Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) during a trip to Japan. Inspired by its story of “beckoning people and good fortune,” he decided to feature it on his label!
A Surprising Twist in “The Drops of God”
While the label shows a friendly beckoning cat, the manga describes its character as a “haughty Siamese cat.” We love the fun contrast!
A Deeper Feline Connection
As if by fate, the vineyard is located in a place called “Les Katz” (German for “cats”)! This wine was destined to have a cat on it.
🥂 Cute Label, Serious Quality
Don’t let the cute looks fool you—this is a high-quality sparkling wine crafted with meticulous care using biodynamic farming methods (certified by ECOCERT and Demeter). It’s a crisp, dry Crémant with refreshing notes of apple, lemon, and white flowers, carried by fine, elegant bubbles.
It pairs beautifully with Japanese food like sushi and tempura!
This “bottle of good fortune” is guaranteed to be a conversation starter at home parties or celebrations.
