Good lord. If you’re watching this, don’t make your croutons this way. Hot pan, olive oil, then bread. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and brown them in the hot oil. Whatever you do, don’t soak your bread in the olive oil. In fact, having seen some is this person’s videos in the past, just know that whatever she is doing is probably wrong or, at the very least, not a good way to make whatever you’re trying to make.
I love your channel! I have a lot of leftover hotdog buns from an office party and didn’t know what to do with all the bread, I’m going to make croutons!
Great way of making another staple to have on hand for salads and such and have no wasted bread .. love when you can take a home cooked /baked item and do double duty uses from it ! That way it never goes to waste and another tip is to freeze it being careful to wrap it up really well if you do want to freeze some of it to pull out and use another time .. as homemade goods don’t have preservatives in it ( that’s a good thing) and therefore have a shorter life span to them so think of creative ways to either eat it up quickly within a few days or freeze it for a later day of delicious eating ! I keep hearing from other sources that it’s best to use older bread. Thus, I always bought the bread that can be found on the clearance shelf when we’ve on the menu something that goes well with croutons.
I’ve never tried it with fresh bread. I wonder if there’s a huge difference in the taste of the croutons if using fresher bread…🤔
I just made these and they are fantastic. Quick and easy to make and are delicious. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to store bought croutons! Great recipe!
