Our Terroir Cellars 2010 Bergerac, France L’Ouverture is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Merlot 40% and Malbec 10%. This 30-year-old vineyard produces premium grapes with deep ripe red cherry flavors and a second nose with some characteristics of aged wine with tobacco, leather and balsamic aromas. The longer barrel ageing allows these oak flavors to be even better integrated. This wine has a great structure starting with 14% alcohol for power. The mouth offers round tannins, prune, licorice, cedar wood and spicy aromas. An extra length of complexity in the finish is brought by some vanilla and coffee bean aromas. This wine is harmonious enough to be enjoyed now and will peak over the next 4 years.
