Homemade French Onion Dip I made this dip for my daughter’s birthday party and everyone flipped over it! I should have doubled it because it was gone in no time.
INGREDIENTS: 1 onion, diced 2 Tbsp butter dash of salt 1 & 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup mayo 1 tsp liquid aminos 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS: 1. Sauté the onions, butter and salt in a skillet over medium-low heat until caramelized. (This step takes about 30 minutes.) 2. Place the onions and remaining ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. *If desired, you can leave some of the onions whole for texture.

What is the purpose of the liquid aminos? Could I leave those out?
