This is the place to go to on a 5 de Mayo. Why? Because that day was a battle between Liberal Mexican army and the French army that was won by the Mexican Liberals but the French came back with a Hapsburg aristocrat that they set up as an emperor. So, a French Mexican meal and drink is more authentic to the historical facts than just a margarita and some tacos. Once the American civil war was over the USA enforced its Monroe doctrine and the emperor was eventually executed.
Never have I wanted something more than those duck confit tacos RIGHT NOW. French/Mexican fusion sounds like something that was just a matter of time, both cultures have such big flavors and expression in their dishes.
I’ve always wanted to make duck comfy tacos. I’ve thought that it was very close to carnitas. That’s why they would work perfectly in a taco, and those tacos look phenomenal.
What a wonderful story they have! Oh my gosh, that cheesy corn soup, and the, what was it, a corn infused creme brule? IDK, I'm probably messing it up, but they both, in addition to the tacos of course, looked absolutely delicious! This is one restaurant I would love to try! Oh, and their name! How perfect is that? Sending all the love and blessings their way! 😊❤
