Good food, but touristic and expensive. Felt like you were eating at a restaurant here in the US or in London!
I had a lovely meal in 2019 when I returned from the Château de Fontainebleau by train. A fitting end to the day. To stay in the same atmosphere.

I’ll definitely go visit even if it’s overpriced, it’s not just a restaurant, it’s also an art gallery. In your opinion, what’s the most overrated tourist trap in Paris? And what’s a hidden gem or underrated restaurant in the city?
How much of the E 105.50 was taxes and separately 'service' for the staff? What was the net for the restaurant? You got a good portion of lamb.
The serving of roasted lamb leg is amazingly generous.
Splendid review! And it has made my mind up for my treat when I visit soon ! You even chose what I would from the menu. So, a breakfast at the Crillon ( with hot chocolate) and Le Train Bleu for a lunch. Thank you once again.
Sublime, with a few surprises…good size portions, the informality of the attire; the fans cooling the room and as always your much appreciated value mindset combined with a still lovingly slow scan of a really expensive wine list (lol)
Le Train Bleu has been our radar for years but we never seem to be in the area. We never travel to or from Gare de Lyon. Maybe the next time we are planning a visit to Jardin des Plantes.

I still go there whenever I have the opportunity. Trap or not, good or not, it is just a unique experience that one never can have anywhere else. Every time I went, the service was impeccable and the food not bad. Also, I never made a reservation and they still seated me without any problems at all: GREAT for Paris! Maybe not the best food one can find in Paris, but with a such huge operation they have to run continuously, it is good. Prices should not go up anymore, though…
I realize it's lunchtime, but I'm sort of shocked at how casual the diners are dressed. It feels a bit like a Disney World restaurant.
Cher ami, je suis vos vidéos avec délectation. Mais le menu PLM à 76€ (que vous avez pris) comporte une fausse note impardonnable (4:35). Le gigot d'agneau est traduit en anglais par "Rabbit ballotine" (Ballotine de lapin).
Vu les prix pratiqués, pensez-vous que ce genre d'erreur est tolérable ?
i had lunch there last year. I thought the food was just ok but the place itself is simply spectacular. It's the kind of place you go to for a cheese plate, crepe suzette, a cocktail and just enjoy the ambience. The lamb looks great though, I might have to try that next time!

I've been here. I think a lot of the negative reviews are unfair. The ambiance, surroundings, AND food are really good (recommend the roast lamb). As you said, it's not just a meal it's an experience.
