Alcohol kills more people each year than wars, terrorism, homicides, and car accidents combined. It destroys bodies, relationships, and lives. Yet we toast with it at weddings, sip it at parties, and unwind with it after work.
Why do we cling to something so harmful?

Thesis that weed makes people more lonely is the only because its illegal most of the world. Don't notice that people in thailand in cannabis shops are lonely of socially awkward – everybody having fun and communicate. Smoking of weed course is another risk, but there is safe ways.
Weed is just better in every way.
Alcohol is nicee
People just need to learn how to drink better.
My grandpa died because he vomited his liver out
I can't understand if Gen-z correlations are caused or a results of the alcohol use reduction
didn't touch a sip of alcohol in two years.
Is there anyone else here who doesn't feel the good things that he talks about at the beginning of the video? I've been drunk before, but I've never had these really good feelings or sense of relaxation, etc. Mostly it's just a sense of numbness and delay between brain and body, though not really relaxing or good, just numb. I mean, sometimes I even feel kind of crappy when I get tipsy, especially when I'm drinking hard liquor.
Statistics Matters! Ergo WEED is a far…. FAR safer drug than tobaccos and alcohol COMBINED!!!! Which again just highlights how completely out of touch our so-called leaders are… With those they lead!
Please korean subtitles!!!!
It is weird how culturally accepted it is. Me and my bf often get the question why we don"t drink instead of the other way around!
What amaze me is that almost every civilization develop their own alcoholic drinks
Wtf i know literally zero people who drink daily like its mentioned in the video, and im living in country with highest per capita beer consumption in the world.
My body is a temple
A temple to the god Dionysus
Your most recent videos have had click bait thumbnails and titles, and in some cases they’re dangerous. I particularly had issues with your video on amphetamines. Why the sudden decline in quality?
Alcohol is a byproduct of yeast eating sugar. It's not a "Defense Mechanism" if the concentration gets too high, it kills the yeast itself. Fermentation and distillation were essential preservation methods before refrigeration and alcohol made drinking water safe, along with low beers and the like.
this video is the perfect example why "science" content on youtube is unscientific. just because someone is violent and drunk, or crashed the car while drunk doesn't mean it would not happened if the person was sober
Drinking every day is crazy. I only drink on the weekends and only with friends. Drinking alone is THE sign of being an alcoholic.
Thumbs up if this video made you drink too.
ONLY 2 Billion drink? The vast majority of humanity doesnt drink? I would never have thought that! Whats wrong the the 2 billion that is not with the remaining?
"Alcohol is a bioweapon"
– Oh damn
– * opens second beer *
-Well lets celebrate it then
All my friends and family know that I do not deal with drunk people at all not even a little bit don’t come around me drunk
NO MORE ALCAHOL
I don't think it's unimportant to mention the health benefits, at times when water could carry diseases as we were all shitting in rivers, alcohol was the one thing that killed those diseases. So I do think in a historical context alcohol makes a lot of sense.
dawg, who even drinks anymore? alcohol fell off lmao
Alcohol also saved humanity from dying by water-born diseases since we knew how to produce it. It saved lives for tens of thousands of years.
a candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long
The cannabis part is not accurate at all!
First of all if weed wasn't illegal in almost all of the world for so long people wouldn't have been forced to hide it and to be forced to not engage with other social groups. And next you need to consider what type of cannabis is being consumed. Almost all illegal weed is heavy strong indica, if it was legal and socially accepted people would be more knowledgeable and choose a light strain or a sativa one for going out and being social. It's like always drinking 70% absinthe every time you choose to drink alcohol and then blaming the alcohol for getting wasted.
You make good educational videos but i have noticed the narrow mind in your "drug" videos and the lack of experience and knowledge on the cannabis part. Cannabis is so much more then just getting high/wasted……
In my country cannabis is illegal and everybody has their little trust group of who they consume cannabis with. But we still get together for cannabis consumption, chatting, discussions of anything and so on and have social life within our group. If it was legal i can bet you that the social thing wouldn't imply as you said if you risk jail time or fines for some weed.
Yes, there's a change going on. The less you drink regularly, the easier you can enjoy the positive effects. Alcohol is not going to vanish, but the younger generations are so clever they can handle it better than anyone before.
Mind over matter… believe in yourself.
