Ingredients for French Beans Sabji –

For blanching the beans –
250 gms French Beans or Green Beans
2 medium-sized carrots finely chopped
1 cup water
a pinch of baking soda
2 tsp of oil
Boil on medium-high flame for 5-6 minutes

For the sabji-
2 tblsp of oil
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
1 medium-sized onion finely chopped
1 tsp green chilli paste
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tblsp coriander cumin powder
1 tsp salt
Saute for 2 minutes on low flame at this point
After adding beans and carrots, cook on low flame for 6-7 minutes
After cooking until oil separates, add the remaining ingredients
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
2 tblsp coriander leaves finely chopped
1/4 tsp lemon juice
