  1. Summer is my favorite season, I don’t blame you for taking time to enjoy it.I was happy to see your video though. We just completed last year our kitchen renovation, we relocated the kitchen in our 1940’s beach cottage. Plaster walls , during Covid , work starting & stopping. Thankfully like Lincoln my husband is very competent with these things. But probably not as patient as Lincoln. When I walk into the kitchen now in the early morning and see the sunlight coming through it’s such a good feeling, I hope it won’t be too long for you to have that feeling. I’m so looking forward to seeing its progress. I’m happy for you and your mom that she is visiting. I live across the sound from her I believe. She’s so blessed to be able to be visiting with you. I get the sticker shock antiquing in US. I’d rather be brocanting . Loved the Oyster place and the painting! . Enjoy your summer. 🕊️

  2. Lincoln and I share the same Ikea phobia. We're brocanting over your way later this year, could you let us know the name of the place you visited if you think it's worth exploring? Best wishes M&R

  3. If the temporary kitchen is that complicated and complex might as well just worth a shot of refocus and just do the permanent kitchen. Might want to just bit the bullet and hire a kitchen company I suggest the white kitchen company

  4. Our first old Victorian they cut a notch in the beam to add the tub 🤦‍♀️.. the full tub for the kids baths were coming down into the foyer ..l that fix was NOT fun ,,, one thing led to another.
My next and last kitchen is going to be freestanding everything 😍😍.
Right now mine is the old metal fixtures installed in 1950 when the house was built.
Im NOT in a hurry to give them up … they cleanup so nice !

  5. Will this temporary kitchen move to another building later? I hope so. Might consider that in your choice of cabinets

  6. The knock down metal shelves would be handy. Or any shelving from Ikea. Good for storage somewhere else later.

  7. Can you pop out one floor board for plumbing till your done with the major kitchen? Simply place a temporary board in place. If you drilled a whole through the floor board not really a good idea but save the round to Pop back in place

  8. Great video.
I do have a request. Please do not stop filming in public…love Your public shots really, really enjoy them thank you.😊

  9. I know the struggles of old houses! It's a new discovery every day. Some good some bad and some … just confusing. 😊

  10. Amanda I think accepting IKEA cabinets is almost torture for you. Good thing you will eventually be rewarded with a gorgeous kitchen. Love all the fur kids checking out what you were doing.

  11. Enjoyed watching this episode very much. Very nice flowers and art work in some of the scenery you filmed. Love the painting! ❤

  12. What a great video, thank you. The trip to Ikea was interesting, great progress making those difficult decisions. I loved the oysters on the beach. Have a nice week, is there a new greenhouse in the near future?

  13. Welcome back guys from Holiday! and back to The Frenchie's take on Americas Big Box Store for more mind numbing choices that make Lincoln walk away, lol. All Lincoln wants to do is get back home drill a darn hole in the right place and make sure s$%t flows down hill. Thanks Guys for taking us along on some rummage sales and for some aphrodisiacs snacks, see ya on the next one.

  14. In France, we don't like coffee on the go but we like oysters and white wine on the go !

  15. What I would do for routing temporary water, electrical and other such things is I would build a 3 sided chase , lay the lines on the floor and put the protective 3 sided chase over them. Think about a garden hose and it's flexability as a water supply, same logic for electrical wires. The waste pipe could be screwed with a pipe clamp to the top of the chase underneath where needed to give it a slope for drainage. The chase could be 6 inches wide for each of the 3 sides. A simple L bracket could screw the chase to the floor where needed. An approach to consider.

  16. Amanda, not the point of the video but you are so very pretty! We never see your face with the hat on all the time! Love the picture and most of all very excited about the kitchen Reno

  17. I love oysters, I'd love to try that place sometime. Not sure where it is but maybe I can figure it out from its name, and I don't think it'd be too far from where I live for a little side trip from home. Like everyone else, I love how you do your ads, they actually add to the video. Sponsors should pay you double just for that! 😉 I love your dining room, wish mine had all the architectural details yours has!

  18. Loved this one! Shopping, hunting for whatever catches your eye and a beautiful walk through local shops. Something I'll never get over there to do..(never say never). Love the new wall art and a sit down oyster lunch break. So thankful you and Lincoln took a break from your Chateau to visit a few places we all got to see along with you! Your garden looks healthy!

  19. It seems like the oyster beds were very high above the water. We have been having drought and forest fires in Canada and our water levels are very bad right now. I was just wondering is that normal for the oyster beds for them to be so exposed? I thought they would be underwater. Good luck with your kitchen renovation. I’m sure you’ve got it figured out, but I agree with another comment when they said the sage green cabinets would’ve been nice.

  20. You have wonderful taste. The painting is pretty amazing. I totally love it! Even without a clean it is an amazing piece.
I love to follow your projects. It's living vicariously thru you (& other YT content creators).
I LOVED watching your outing. The oysters looked so good… As did the seashore.
Hope to be in France in a year. Texas is h€LL hot.
    Love the kitties!!!

  21. I've lived through a kitchen reno with no wall movement or plumbing changes, can't imagine how you're going to make it through. Lots of humour should help.

  22. Just found your channel – what a fabulous job you have done, do you mind me asking where you got your bathrooms from ? I’m about to do a small house renovation and love your style.
