Looking for a good vegan red wine that is easy to find and under $20 dollars? I’m sharing four of my favorites in this taste test video 🙂 Hope you guys enjoy and find it helpful!
Why not all wine is vegan:
1. Frey Cabernet: If you like structured but not overpowering cabernets and/or organic, sulfate free wines, you’ll love this wine.
2. Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel: If you want a smooth, velvety, fruit forward, easy drinking wine with a touch of spice to keep it interesting, you’ll love this wine.
Find the 2012:
NOTE: The 2012 is around $11 dollars online and is the year that is confirmed “vegan friendly” on Barnivore at the moment. I recommend looking for that year to be on the safe side but I have been in contact with Bogle about their more recent vintages, the 2015 is the one in most stores now, and will confirm that it is vegan as soon as I hear back and update this section for you! Just always want to double, triple check before recommending anything to you guys 🙂
3. Les Hauts de Lagarde Bordeaux Rouge : If you love dry, earthy French wines, you’ll love this wine. Note: I found that it was significantly more enjoyable when after about 10 minutes in the glass. Let it get some air before drinking to help it mellow and soften.
4. Robert Hall Cabernet: If you love bright, ripe, juicy fruit forward California wines that are structured but also easy drinking, you will love this wine. I do!

I verified, to the best of my knowledge, that these wines are vegan using barnivore.com as my primary resource. Wine making practices are subject to change. I am not liable for wines changing, so always double check that they’re still vegan before purchasing 🙂
