What we call a brioche dough is a dough that has been enriched with butter. Cornetti are made with the enriched brioche dough, and vanilla, in addition to doing the layers with butter. Croissants do not use enriched dough, they only put the butter in the layers only.

Typical jealous Italian towards France, obsessed with "rivalring" a country that doesn't even care about them. That's like saying pasta originated from China who were using noodles way before Italians made pasta a national dish.
Closer to a croissant that it is a brioche and brioche is French

Umm a corner to has a lot of butter too 😊 but the dough IS different. And better! 😊
One of the best things I had in Italy was that Pistachio cornetto. So delicious! We need more pistachio sweets in the US. I wish they sold pistachio cream here in grocery stores.

I was told that cornetto is made using brioche dough. So maybe that’s is why they call it brioche in northern Italy
Crosant safe to egg alergy, but cornetto good coz contain more protein from egg.
