It’s hard to believe, but I think it was almost four years ago.
During the pandemic, when we were all stuck at home, I found so much joy watching one channel that you all know
.
Then one day, Patrick MW suddenly stopped appearing on YouTube without any notice, and not long after, Peter also disappeared from the channel.
That sense of emptiness lingered for quite a while.
By chance, I got to know Patrick, who happened to live in the same neighborhood, and through him, I was introduced to Peter as well.
That encounter made me want to share their stories with others once again, so I started this channel. Of course, I also genuinely wanted to support Peter’s business in any way I could.
At first, I poured all the savings I had into buying wines and creating content, driven by sheer passion.
But with each video shoot costing hundreds of dollars in losses, I struggled to keep going for about a year. By the end of that year, I often wondered if it was time to call it quits.
Then some of our subscribers suggested opening a membership. With their encouragement, I took the leap — and now, thanks to the support from our members, I’m able to purchase good wines every two months and continue filming.
I know there’s still a long way to go, but I’m truly grateful to all our members who’ve made it possible to keep sharing the stories of our Masters.
I know I am not as fun as previous person, but I’ll continue to do my best to create videos that are worth your time.

Very excited to see the tasting or tastings with these wines!
I had a recent vintage of Petit Figeac a month ago and it was the star of the night. In fact, we enjoyed it much more than the Figeac grand vin we accidentally had at dinner a couple years ago. I say accidentally because although I pointed at the Petit Figeac and said “Petit” clearly, the Somm pulled the Chateau Figeac from the cellar. I didn’t pay much attention other than seeing the name Figeac on the label when the somm opened the bottle. Lo and behold, that bottle was horribly corked. So they brought out another bottle, again Chateau Figeac and again I didn’t notice the label didn’t say Petit. Not corked, but very closed down. It was a 2012, I believe. It never really had a chance to open up and offer more over the course of a 2 hour dinner, so it was kind of disappointing. The disappointment was magnified when the bill landed on the table and I saw the price of the bottle at $600!
Can’t wait for the next episode!
* Hi Subscribers ! *

wow, wine exchange is a legendary shop they also run excellent youtube channel. what a cross over😅
Looking forward to the Riesling tasting 😊🎉 Mosel and Wachau are stunning regions for Riesling
Peter Lauer Riesling, nice to see the Soul of Wine sipping some low intervention juice
I go there too!
Love the video, had the pleasure recently of meeting Pat when he came into my wine bar in London, West Hampstead, I sold him a bottle of white wine called Le Fage
I hope he enjoyed it! Maybe you could let me know haha
Best
Sam
Beaucastel is my favorite rhone too!! Biggest bang for the buck!
❤ Beaucastel – just had the 2015 last week and it was glorious
Wow, buying some fantastic wines there. Can’t wait to see the tastings! 🍷🥂
Coudoulet is rated 4.0/90 points on Vivino. I know, Vivino. But for that price range of 25 USD/EUR plus I feel the ratings are ok. So, p/v ratio doesn’t seem too good for this wine. Would love to hear Patrick’s average rating across vintages for this wine.
Regarding the Rieslings: The German one says „GL“ on the label which means „Große Lage“ or „Grand Cru“. That means it is not dry. If it was a dry wine the label would say „GG“, „Großes Gewächs“, „Great Groth/Planting“. I would expect the Smaragd and Alsace wines to be dry.
Edit: Just looked the wine up: 9g of residual sugar.
this was fun. this made me join. this makes it really interesting. flight of pinots from all the main regions would be really interesting. california, oregon, 2 burgundy, australia and new zealand and a nice ontario 😃
Thanks Min, Patrick and Peter, always great to watch the masters at work!
Absolutely love Patrick's design for the tastings. It's something I've always wanted to do is see if I can even discern a 1st from 2nd. Or from one region to its neighboring region. I am absolutely dying to see the upcoming videos now.
Nice video! Also enjoy watching Kyle and Tristan on the WineEx channel.
Fun. I'll be stunned if anyone is fooled by the Coudoulet. These red wines are all at least 5 years too young~maybe the 19 Petit Figeac is ready with a lot of air.
lol damn Pat really did not like that "MS"
Glad you guys are back in action. Can’t wait to see the these wines in the next upcoming videos.
Go back, go back. Alfred Gratian one of the best grower producers
So looking forward to the tasting
Good choices! But where is the tassting?
Interesting to see. Thanks for sharing.
What happen to pony tail korean guy?
This is just great. I can't wait to see the Beaucastel blind tasting! I've done a similar blind tasting with friends:
* Château de Beaucastel – Châteauneuf-du-Pape
* Château de Beaucastel – Coudoulet de Beaucastel
* Côtes du Rhône La Grange St. Martin Réserve (their entry level Côtes du Rhône)
It was really fun! The CdP was just a blast… so I totally understand why Patrick talks about it so often 😉
Cheers
Looking forward to the tasting.
I like the 2016 Vintage Bernard Magrez Chateau Les Grands Chenes Bordeaux Red Wine. It is so worth the money.
