It’s 40°C in Paris and I refuse to turn on the stove! In today’s video, I’m sharing what I eat in a day as a French woman when it’s simply too hot to cook — easy, fresh, simple but nutrient-dense summer meals.

  1. Hello, we have experienced a few days of intense heat 🌞in Paris. I know that for some it is usual, but in Paris, it is not so common and we do not often have air conditioning. Anyway, I am sharing here what I did to stay hydrated and nourished. Hope you like! Have a nice evening 😀

  2. Do French people drink iced tea in summer? It's 95 F and very humid where I am, watching this video while I eat my lunch with a large (homemade) iced tea. I always enjoy your videos. We've been to Paris several times (our daughter and SIL were married there two years ago this week! That was a fantastic week! I love seeing your footage of walking and museums, it brings me great memories of our time in your beautiful city.

  3. Been years since I visited the louvre. And the exhibition looked fabulous. I must say I have resorted to making mini vegetable quiches, cooking chicken and having it cold and salads too. Thankfully the air-fryer doesn’t throw out heat when cooking.

  5. Yes, 40 C is average summer temperature where I live 🥵 I make good use of my outdoor grill! Thank you for some cooling ideas, your breakfast looked perfect!

  6. 40C is brutal, hard on the body- I hope the humidity wasn’t too bad. The no-cook meals looked perfect to keep your stamina up. Thank you for the gazpacho update! I noticed the different colour from last time!
Thank you also for the beautiful street scenes and the peek into the Louvre exhibition, it looked very interesting 😊 Stay cool! Take care!

  7. Even though it's winter here in the South, this looks delicious. Our daytimes are sunny, so we're lucky – and papaya is in season here in the winter, so it's also a lunchtime treat. I'm always amazed at how hot Paris can get – I was there for work two years ago in September, and had planned to walk around the city on a Saturday, but it was just too hot !

  8. Last year whilst visiting Paris for the Olympics we experienced extreme heat so one day I decided to visit Versailles to get out of the sun. It was wonderful beautiful airy building, well worth the visit 😊

  9. It's going to be 46^ with 10% humidity here in the California desert. I just added some sea salt to my water.. Good idea.

  10. I visited Paris in 2004 during the terrible heatwave. We spent two full days in the Louvre because it was beautiful, and of course also air conditioned, lol! Take care, I hope it cools down a bit for you soon.

  11. Great summer meals, thank you for sharing! Love the idea of menu watching. I admit the thought of summer in Europe scare me. I was in Paris last time two years ago end of April – early May and there were two pretty warm days and many hotels and AirBnB didn't have AC. When I was a child, we'd get a few really hot days per summer maybe every three-four summers. And 28 degrees was like a disaster in Kyiv, we'd go to the beach or stay at home and take like 3-5 cold showers:) Things did change indeed:)

  12. I appreciate your joie de vivre despite the heat (and melted butter and chocolate)! Hope it passes soon. Thank you for taking the time to share your aspirational meals. Those large beans are impressive! I sure wish I could find camembert where I live. Is that a pro tip to visit the Louvre in the evening to avoid crowds or a time only available for locals? Must try the gazpacho!

  13. In August 2003, we lived in Europe and experienced the record-breaking heat wave…stifling! I found myself instinctively preparing cold foods for my family. I grew up with AC. Now living next to the Monterey Bay with Nature's air conditioner. Grain-free/KETO and lovin' it while watching your videos, thanks!

  14. Thank you, i havent had buffalo mozzarrela in a long time it is so nice with tomatoes. I hope you are coping ok in the heat☀️🙋

  15. I would hate to be a chef working in a kitchen in those temperatures. I keep my chocolate in the fridge so it doesn't melt

  16. I truly appreciate your upload and yes, it's hot almost every place. I left Albuquerque NM to get away from the desert 100deg. weather, to Philadelphia Penn. and here it's in the mid- 90s here. But, I am also making a holiday out of this trip and there is a lot of rainy days here which is a rarity in Albuq.NM. As a former NYC person, I do miss the humidity…it's good for our skin. Stay cool and hydrated. You've got the correct idea, cool meals makes sense.

  17. I looked up how 40 degrees Celsius equals in Fahrenheit. It's equal to 104 degrees Fahrenheit here in Oklahoma in the US. The only thing I envy is your 10% humidity. My entire lifetime here in Oklahoma (67 years), our summer humidity is usually 90-100% humidity.

  18. May I ask how large your black Straub pot is in diameter? I bought one on amazon on sale for 160 Euros but its 28cm in diameter witch is too large for a single person. Do you use the 26 or 24 cm Pot?
