  1. I am from Nigeria…and I would like to work abroad… especially in hospitality business organisation..❤

  2. This video is good for waiters and people looking for occasional beautiful date nights

I actually dont like this type of fancy dining for commercial reasons and overpriced wines at restaurants which are cheaper at local seller

  3. I'm an hospitality pro, with 24 years Serving and Supervising and I must commend you on your knowledge about wine service. I was taught in hospitality school that you must present the cork to the host, for inspecting example sniffing etc.
Some corks show signs of crack or breakage and at that point you can tell that the wine is bad.💯

  4. Right video for me, doing hospitality, and my final exams are here, guess my demonstration notes, serving red wine vintage for 2 seated guests ❤❤,am happy this has really helped me alot, thanks!

  5. The reason for the nipkin is because once you poure the wine for the geust,as you are brini the bottle up ,you are meant to use the napkin to cleanr the mouth of the bottle so the drop of the wine from the bottle dosent spill or drop on the table
But i see you just brin the bottle up before clearning the bottle mouth

  6. Not hold the bottle by the neck when pouring. Seen that in many films. Excellent video thank you.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

  7. Personally I don’t think putting the bottle on the table is a great idea. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone put the bottle on the table when they opened it for me and I’ve ordered many wine bottles, some at Michelin restaurants.

I do have to say I appreciate people like you attempting to teach others how to do this because I’m surprised at how many servers and bartenders don’t know basic bottle serving etiquette.

    Thank you for your content.

  8. Excellent explanation very clear.
    Thanks from srilanka

  9. "Crispy" is not a wine descriptor lmao.. also telling someone its made from "green grapes" means nothing. Do you tell people who order red wine that they're made from red grapes?

  10. When I was Waitress in a restaurant that’s exactly the way I have been doing. I’m from Brazil and I’m watching your videos to have a greater notion of international standard of serving and I never imagined that the way that I was usually doing was so right. I’m studying international standard of serving because I want to apply for work in Cruise Ships. Thank you for your videos.

  11. There are 6 guests at one table, and they have ordered a bottle of wine. The host tastes the wine, approves it, and it is served to the other 5 guests. However, the host does not receive a glass of wine. The host requests another bottle.
    What will be the procedure?

  12. Great stuff. It is also advisable to wipe the top of the cork & neck of the bottle near the opening after removing the foil and again after removing the cork. Removes any debris that might be there after each of those steps. Cheers!

  13. Sir, first of all I love and rewatch all of your videos! I just got into a semi-premium restaurant with casual dining but we have guests who are in used to fine dine experience so I really want to provide them somewhat close experience to what they are in used to!

I have a friendly request, if it’s possible to cover wine more in depth. I love your teaching style and would be really happy to learn your knowledge about wine 😊

  14. Your video was very useful, and well done, thank you. Just a small fyi that the verb is 'decant', and the vessel is a decanter. So there's no decantering in the process. An honest mistake! Thanks for the video.

  15. … You don't just pocket the cork… you present the cork to the host.. come on man, that's basic wine service 101.
