The dream was never’ ‘really’ about the Prince. It was always the Château.
Ever since I was little, I’ve had a not-so-small obsession with Princess elegance, grandeur, and gowns (thank you, Disney). But alas, no royal blood, no trust fund, and no fairy godmother. So I did what any delusional dreamer would do: I went looking for my own Castle anyway.

In 2021 — fresh off a pandemic and decades of reinventions — I hit the road across France with a camera, a map, and a burning question: Could I actually buy a château? (Spoiler: yes, but also… it’s complicated.)

Fast forward to 2024. Just when I was ready to give up on ever finding one that wasn’t crumbling or unaffordable, Château de la Chevronnais found me. Love. At. First. Sight. But like any good love story, this one came with drama.

In this episode:
👑 Ben and I do the final walkthrough
👀 I discover some concerning surprises
🤯 I get pushback from the seller’s team
💪 I stand my ground and hold the line
🍾 And finally — the moment I’d imagined forever — I POP THE BOTTLE.
It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t smooth. But it was mine.

✨ You don’t need a prince to live your fairytale. Just WiFi, willpower, and maybe a little wine.

Now? The real work begins.
LET’S GOGO 🚧👸🎉

  1. FURNITURE REMOVAL

On the furniture removal in the Château. If I were selling the Château and I did not want the furniture to sell it- I would absolutely offer it to my buyer as a gift and be happy to do so !

  2. I really feel like you need to Sage the entire Château when your crew comes to help with this beautiful renovation!
It’ll be the perfect way to clear the energy and set a positive vibe for all the hard work ahead. Can’t wait to see the magic happen!
    ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  3. Morgan this was my favourite ‘ chateau’ episodes …. I mean I laughed my head off at the two of you with the chocolate!,… can you please work together in the future as you are definitely the dynamic duo!!😂😊
On a serious note congrats on your amazing chateau!🥳🥳…such an achievement Morgan!!!..and also thank you for letting us in in the reality of buying a chateau!!

  4. So many Chateau owners to meet… congratulations 😊 ps..order everything in advance as it takes ages, workers are a bit dodgy with times.. pin them in x

  5. Aawww and I was just on the YouTube channel of the two guys who were actually going to buy it before you did 😉 enjoy the house. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

  6. 🎉 as for trash you may want to see if you can get a commercial dumpster, not the huge one’s but like businesses use in the city. Then you call and schedule pickup when needed.

  7. I am so happy for you. Congratulations, and may all your dreams and aspirations come true. I love your videos, (or do I call them vlogs?). Stay true to yourself, as someone of a similar age I think you are amazing.

  8. What a brave women you are congratulations well done I'm so excited for you and can't wait for the updates pity the lady didn't leave you just a little bit but would you want any of it given the drama! Go go girl I'll be watching and if I get back to France I'll be sure to help, you know I can sweep really well 😃 xx

  9. n France, emptying a septic tank (fosse septique) doesn't automatically require a new system. However, if your existing septic system is deemed non-compliant with current regulations, you will likely need to upgrade or replace it. This often involves installing a new, compliant system.
    Here's a more detailed explanation:
    1. SPANC and Compliance:
The Service Public d'Assainissement Non Collectif (SPANC) is the local authority responsible for inspecting and regulating septic systems in France.
If your system is found to be non-compliant during an inspection (often required when buying a property or during regular checks), SPANC will inform you of the issues and provide guidance on the necessary actions.
You will typically have a period (often 12 months, but can vary) to rectify the situation, either by upgrading the existing system or installing a new one.

  10. Honestly the place looks so much better empty. The blank slate will give you many options. Excited for you!

  11. Need one of those little trucks with a bed in the back for trash and picking up things from the hardware stores or antiquing

  12. I am shedding tears of joy for you. You are living my dream. However, this is not about me. May God continue to bless you, and may everything in your future be smooth sailing.🎉😅😊

  13. Congrats 🎉 and have literally just seen you celebrating your birthday on Château Diaries 👏who would have thought 3 years later you would have your own Chateau❤

  14. No need for a Prince when yourself are a Queen. Welcome to France ! Can't wait to see how you're gonna take care of that gem.

  15. Beautiful ❤️ please get rid of stripes on the sides of your video please very distracting. Congratulations 🎊 look forward to seeing your new journey it's going to be wonderful thank you so much 💓

  16. I LOVE the walk around you did – I really got a good sense and feel of the Chateau in a better light and the quality of details are fantastic. I guess it helps when all the previous clutter has gone! It looks like they gave it a good clean as much as they could. I appreciate the time you took to replace the black voids on either side with an on-brand visual scheme – it really helped with viewing that aspect ratio and it was kinder on the eyes. Thank you! Good job navigating "Madame" haha. Looking forward to exciting times ahead. Congratulations FINALLY! X
