Well, there are more than 10 grapes permitted in Burgundy wine appellations. However, the most planted grape variety in Burgundy is Chardonnay, with 49.2%, followed by Pinot Noir with 39.6%, than Aligote with 6.5% and finally Gamay 3.8% of plantings.
