  1. That is not mashed. You actually use the proper term just after, that's puree. Red potatoes with, hand mashed, a lil butter, salt and pepper will beat whatever that baby food is anyday.

  4. Looks like 50-50 butter and potato. No thanks, a knob of butter and some milk is enough. I like to taste the potato, not a greasy mess that makes you feel sick it is so rich.

  5. I love mashed potatoes. Cube of butter, some milk and salt and pepper. Sorry, Chef Will, but this butter purée stuff is not decent mashed potatoes. Guess I'm unrefined, but I like real mash.

  6. Tbh, I personally like it mashed and not like a purée. If it turns to purée, I just keep going and make a soup. The only reason it tastes better from a restaurant or a chef is because they use way more butter, but at home I'm certainly not using two or more bricks of butter – waste of money.

  8. That honestly looks like some sort of plastic putty, the great thing about mashed potatoes is the texture, if you overwork them it's just disgusting, no texture and no taste
