Do you feel like you’ve hit a wall with your French? It’s not because you’re not smart, are too old, or aren’t studying enough. It’s likely because traditional French classes (and many French teachers) don’t actually teach you how to speak and understand real, everyday French.
But there’s good news: you can change that with just 10 minutes a day. And I’ll show you how to start in this video!
Today, I’m sharing a simple daily routine that rewires your brain to learn French naturally — the way you learned your first language as a baby. This method has helped thousands of my students make more progress in one year than they did in ten years of traditional schooling.
You’ll learn why motivation is key, how to make your learning fit into your busy life, and why speaking with real people is the secret to fluency. Ready to make your time studying French count? C’est parti !

At Comme une Française, we specialize in everyday spoken French. We focus on three unique aspects that are different from school French, self-study books, Duolingo, etc:
1. We focus only on the specifics of speaking/understanding/being understood in everyday French and have unique ways to help you learn it properly & faster.
2. We focus on shortcuts to help you make progress faster, which also means we tell you exactly what you can stop learning to prioritize what’s really important.
3. We use French culture as the subject to make it fun and interesting for adults.
Take care and stay safe.
😘 from Grenoble, France.

Vous etes reellement un prof terrible. Depuis de la brouse du kenya
Always beautiful with refreshing content
Magnifique information de la semaine
EXACTLY learn from how you hear the language, then learn to read and write
This is so true I just came to France having studied 2 years at home. Did nothing to allow me to ask for help use descriptive adjectives in sentence. I was able to read à bit and pick up a word or two . Conversations !!!!
One thing if you don't mind, when 'months' is plural make sure to pronounce the 's' sound. Its a little thing but it makes a big difference.
I travelled to Paris in march, and after I came back home, I couldn't help but truly learning french. So, every single day since I came back, I listen to France 24 every morning and podcasts on Spotify every night. Last week, I finished watching Marianne, a horror series, and now I'm watching Lupin. I've surrounded myself with french videos, music (Indila, Barbara Pravi, Carla Bruni and Jacques Brel), and have subscribed to tons of channels, both on youtube and other social medias. I have even changed the language on my phone to french. I can assure you: now I'm comfortable listening and understanding 100% to all teacher's content; france 24 is still hard to understand – although it's getting better and better everyday -; and tv series are the hardest ones still. I've fell in love with Paris french culture ❤
please do more repeat after me!
Truly appreciate your efforts
Merci beaucoup
Jai soixante cinq ans et j'apprend le francais depuis trois ans.
Je bien d'accord avec vous en cocernant la motivation. Pour moi c'est un defi et j'aime la langue francaise.
Mais le parlé francais est toujours difficile
I learned French from the bus drivers and hairdressers from the province next door. Un gros merci à vous !

Right off at the beginning of this video, i knew that this video would be good because of the intro!
excellent video
The Reason You Love French is Because its The Language You FULLY Understand.
I Fully Understand English and Can Read Science & computer books in it.
I studied the French language in high school, back in the 60s. Yes, I am over 75 years old. Being consistent has always been my problem. I like the 10 minute routine idea. I am trying to learn Greek from a Greek family in my congregation as well as Spanish from Spanish speaking members. Progress has been painfully slow because I do not practice. Macri Rossi (YouTube) has the French Maigre series videos, some with subtitles and others without. And there are French In Action lessons. I purchased the associated manual for less than $10 on ebay. The resources are numerous. I just have to get out of my own way!
It's been over a year now. I should probably move on from the ABC alphabets…
Seriously!!! Where were you all these five years of struggle? Thank you so much for this, it helped alot!
Amazing explanation, love it!
Thanks Géraldine
Start by making your videos fully in french 😉
