Cut bread with knife and don’t cut with knife on your own plate. Also dont take bites like it’s a sandwich but break off morsels that fit in your mouth all at once. Bread should be to your left btw
French etiquette no longer exists, it's like the beret. It still exists among the very upper middle class of France or among certain tourists. 98% of French people eat as they please and that's completely normal.
