I didn't have a car or a guide when i went to reims. Went to the cathedrale and then an Uber ride to Veuve Clicquot. While it's a big corporate brand, their caves and history were pretty amazing (Madame Ponsardin-Clicquot was a trailblazer!). Cheers to another great video!

Can I recommend visiting the surrender museum in Reims, seems to be little known but fascinating and an important part of history.

Oh the Cathedral is beautiful. And it served the same function as Westminster Abbey does in Britain…didn’t know that bit of history.

Our son has a wine and spirits business here in Bayview, WI (near Milwaukee). He just returned from a 12 day adventure in France – Champagne, Burgundy and a couple other places – forging relationships with growers and wineries.

Look up on Wikipedia the "Paris syndrome" if you haven't yet. I definitely got it and left Paris this morning with a bad taste in my mouth.

Ah, brings back memories of many moons ago. We did tour at Épernay and visited Moët et Chandon. Then to Reims and visited Mumm. Outside the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, we at lunch at Gueuleton Reims, one of the best duck casserole I ever had. It was almost like pulled confit du canard duck meat in a Shepard's pie? It was awesome.

The light show on the cathedral at night is one of the most beautiful and moving displays I ever ever seen. Well worth an overnight.

French champagne deserves french cheese or food but its not necessary. And a reason to drink it like the sun rising
200 milion bottles lie under Reims at any time. In 2024 stockpiles fell by only 80% of expectations creating a glut. Champagne houses are worried.
I am not sure if you all monitor these videos. First off, thank you so much for your videos. Me and my husband are going to paris for 5 days and plan to make a trip up to champagne. My question is, we would love to visit this Voirin-jumel winnery, and also order this beautiful meat and cheese board. But can't confirm i have the correct location or if they are still serving it .
