I eat at and review the lounge of the three Michelin starred restaurant, Le Bernardin in Midtown Manhattan of New York City. The restaurant is run by chef Eric Ripert and is considered to be one of the best in NYC as well as the world. Le Bernardin is a French seafood restaurant, that offers tasting menus in the main dining room, but the lounge is a bit more casual with a la carte dishes and a prix-fixe option. Specifically, I was at the establishment to review the lobster roll, but I sampled a few other courses as well.

  1. Yeahhhhhh, I'll be passing on Luke's Lobster next week! NYC food has gotten CRAZY expensive. I think I'll just be eating at McDonald's or something.

  2. That lobster roll looked so good. Kind of small like you said.. should rename them Lobster Profiteroles! Pricey meal but as long as you loved it thats what counts. Good luck getting into the Marathon- I ran the NYC one.. it was a blast.

  3. Being from CT, I am very particular about lobster rolls outside of this area, even the Maine style which is served chilled, but that looked amazing!

  4. I went for lunch in September due to your other video! Are they finally done with construction outside? I’ll be back in May.

  5. Le Bernardin has a ridiculously good lunch deal for it being 3 stars. Weekday only but I would recommend it heavily. It's $135. There's a similar fancy prix fixe for $125 at the 2 star Gabriel Kreuther across from Bryant Park which you haven't been to it seems

  6. If there is one food vlog in the world of thousands of overrated and often ill-informed food vlogs, one should watch each of James Andrews' gems! The subject choices he makes are always spot-on, well-informed, deliciously luscious and let's not forget…very easy on the eye. THANKS, James, for making the culinary world a little more balanced and a surprising oasis of calm and balance! Greetings from the culinary land of Belgium. XXX

  7. This looks like the kind of lobster roll I'd love. Warm and full of flavor. I've always found places like Luke's to be overhyped. And both desserts looked delicious!

I thought you just purchased an entry into marathons. I had no idea there was a selection process. Better luck next time! Thanks for your review. 😊

  8. Great review! The food looked beautiful, and it was lovely they offered such a nice bread selection, also offering an extra dish(as they remembered you) and petit fours that looked lovely too.
The setting seemed very elegant, but also a nice relaxing place to enjoy lunch. Chefs kiss!

I always enjoy your reviews James! It’s always great to see a new one pop up. My only complaint is I think I’ve watched all of them, so I am eager for new ones!😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💙

  9. Beautiful food.

Ha! How am I not surprised by NY's marathon to turn itself into 'pay for play'… I'd love to look at the books for the qualified 'charities'.

Otherwise, another really nice meal, James😊

  10. It’s amazing to me that someone who is so into food isn’t the least bit curious about how the food you’re eating is actually created.
