French Country Life Experience

In this video I am taking you with me on a few fun days I spent with my friend Manon who lives in the Nièvre, the eastern part of Burgundy. We visit Auxerre (which turns out is such a beautiful town!), we go brocante shopping of course and we bake cookies. Just fun and relaxing stuff and a nice little break to their cabin. If you want to check out their cabin, you can find it here:

I hope you enjoyed this video! See you next week!

Marloes

  1. Like the previous commenter, I also wish we had brocantes here in the US. There is so much stuff that gets thrown out or wasted here, and so many of us miss out on the fun of the search and of reusing old things that have so much character! Thanks for sharing, as always.

  2. I am from France but I have been living in the states for 38 years. I absolutely love your beautiful videos of France. They are true to the feel of the country life. Merci pour ces beaux moments d’évasion!

  3. Enjoy our visits each week so very, very much. Wish I could blink my eyes or wiggle my nose and be there with you in that beautiful land. But I will just be happy if you keep making these wonderful videos.

  4. I’m from South Africa and Afrikaans speaking, and do understand the Dutch, although I can’t speak it.
    Enjoy your video’s.
    🌹🌹🌹

  7. Hi Marloes, I think you’ve convinced me to stop in Auxerre when I drive through the region in July. Can you please tell me the name of the town of that Ressourcerie ? Thanks, I know you’ve visited in another video too

  8. My deceased grandfather who I only met once lived in the Gorcy Cussigny France. So you know much about this area? We hope to visit from the US within the next couple of years.

Need a lot of planning because I am from India.
    I love baking too.❤

  14. Wait, Marloes, I didn’t pick up on the name of the charity shop or the town it is in! Listeners, what did she say?

  15. Ciao Marloes! I love going to charity stores and in Italy, "mercatini" , which are like used furniture/flea markets! It's so much fun and they're such great value too. Your getaway sounds so lovely…maybe one day I'll get to join you there and experience your beautiful corner of France, which I don't know as well. Bisous et a la prochaine! 🥰🤗😘
