“You Make Every Lie Come True” Lyrics:

I’m gonna write like Bob Dylan
I’m gonna rock like Johnny Cash
I’m gonna stand on the Grand Ole Opry
Sing my songs while the cameras flash
I’m gonna live to see one-hundred
I’m gonna age like a fine French wine

CHORUS

Hey there’s nothing I can’t do
Hey you make every lie come true
We’re gonna build our own Graceland
Gonna swim in Dom Perignon
We’re gonna dance like Fred and Ginger
I’ll provide like Don Corleone
You’ll have a yacht the size of Texas
We’ll make love on the moon

CHORUS

You make my lies believable
Seven days a week
All my lies come true

Hey baby there’s nothing we can’t do
Yeah baby you make all my lies come true

CHORUS

  1. I heard that Petty wanted Stan out and Dave Grohl in because he wanted Stan to drum like Grohl, but Stan said he couldn't. It's funny because that was the popular style back then in the late-eighties/early-nineties timeframe…….that straight-forward, monotonous, driving steady beat, but the styles have changed, and the more creative, free-form style has come back. Today Tom Petty would kick a Dave Grohl out of the band in favor of a Stan Lynch.

  2. I always thought Stan had a great sense of WHAT to do in every song to enhance it with an interesting beat. I like his style. He was very creative in his own way…….in a way that was hard to imitate. You can either do it, or you can't.

  3. Definitely has the TP sound. Always liked Stan's drumming style, but the whole band sounds great. Expect the TP comparisons though.

  4. You just can't lose that wonderful Florida accent! Right at the start I heard Mike, then Tom in your voice. It was then I realized it's the accent. You all sound great and the song jams!
