  1. There are thousands of videos that are in English or geared for tourists so with proper subtitles, why not react to those instead?
And maybe some french language pronunciation ones first because sometimes it is very hard to even understand words in what you say and feels a bit like someone making fun of the language, and it will be giving you some words & their pronunciations so you can understand more easily other videos like this one if the subs are bad.

  2. 04:22 "This stained glass window represents the Biou, it is an ancestral ceremony in Arbois that dates back to the 18th century. This is the time when the winegrowers offer the first fruits of the harvest to the patron saint of the parish. The people of Arbois would prefer to miss Christmas in Arbois but never miss any Biou". The Biou is composed of a structure in the shape of a bunch of grapes on which real bunches of grapes are hung and which weighs 100 kgs

  3. Concerning the chocolate he is not talking about the taste itself but about a slight scent. I haven't tasted it so I can't say if it's really good (but probably if he's a decorated artisan)

  4. Louis Pasteur is one of the pioneers of modern chemistry and medicine. We owe him in particular the vaccine against rabies. Pasteurization, a process for protecting food against microorganisms and used in the food industry, comes from his name.

  5. 12:08 They have an appointment with the academic writer Erik Orsenna. Erik Orsenna fell in love with Arbois thanks to Pasteur, whose chair he occupies at the French Academy (the French Academy is a cultural institution made up of great personalities writers, poets, historians, scientists who are responsible for updating the French language by adding new words. It is said that they have an armchair, that is to say an assigned seat, and Erik Orsenna's armchair had been the one formerly assigned to Pasteur. We see a statue of Pasteur in his armchair). 12:43 "It is indeed in Arbois that the scientist grew up in this family home. That's great! It was in fact his father's former tannery that Pasteur transformed into a second home. The centerpiece of the house is of course the laboratory. So look, in the house, it's the most beautiful room and it's the room of knowledge right next to his room, that is to say that he passed unexpectedly from his dreams to his hypotheses and to confirm Pasteur's hypotheses, Arbois was the perfect laboratory. In 1863, the scientist was called in as reinforcements, the city was sick, he undertook a study to save it, his results were to be the starting point for all his future discoveries. As incredible as it may seem, it is by saving the vine that he will succeed in healing man. He understood that wine was a living organism, so it was wine that opened the door to a much better understanding of all the mechanisms of life. And all his experiments on wine, all his research with his vines, with the winegrowers of Arbois, all of this was done here, it was done in this laboratory. And for Arbois, it's an extraordinary source of pride." Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) was a French scientist known worldwide for his discoveries on the role of microorganisms in animal and human infectious diseases, and how to combat them. He is the father of microbiology. He invented the rabies vaccine and pasteurization. The Institut Pasteur International Network (RIIP), or Pasteur Network, is an international group of research institutions. Its mission is to contribute to the improvement of human health and to fight against infectious diseases. These institutions thus have a role in biomedical research, training and epidemiological surveillance of infections that threaten global health. There are Pasteur Institutes that are research institutions all over the world.
