The Philippines is renowned for its incredible buffets, but today, I decided to step away from the buffet scene and indulge in something different—a signature tasting menu at Kasa Palma, which might just be the best restaurant in Manila.
I’ve experienced my fair share of tasting menus, primarily in Las Vegas. From the upscale delights at Bazaar Meat at the Sahara to the creative and bold dishes at Sparrow and Wolf in the Las Vegas Chinatown, tasting menus have always been a fantastic way to sample a restaurant’s offerings without feeling overwhelmingly full. But how does a tasting menu from the Philippines compare?
I’m thrilled to say it exceeded my expectations. Kasa Palma offers a unique blend of traditional Filipino flavors, international techniques, and playful culinary creativity under the expertise of Chef Aaron, a Michelin-trained chef with experience in France. His mastery is evident in every dish, combining local comfort foods with innovative global twists.
Highlights?
• Lobster Lechon: A whole lobster with the tail de-shelled, wrapped in sticky rice, and stuffed into a pork lechon belly.
• Caviar and Ube: A surprising combination that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
• Mantis Shrimp Pasta: Perfectly executed and bursting with flavor.
With over 10 courses in their signature tasting menu, each dish was a masterpiece of taste, texture, and presentation. This culinary journey was not just indulgent but one of the most unforgettable dining experiences I’ve had, rivaling even the best restaurants worldwide.
If you’re in Manila and looking to experience Filipino cuisine with a Michelin-star twist, Kasa Palma is an absolute must-visit.
Don’t forget to watch the full video to savor the flavors vicariously through my adventure!

Your face says it all. Must be delicious
The lamps remind me of witches hair
Tim, all those food look so amazingly delicious…but lanzones & longan are different fruits…
But Tim: the real question is if hotdogs belong on the pizza alongside the pineapple, which will all fall off if you fold it. 😂
Tim, don’t know how you do it, but that was like eating art work! What a fantastic meal for you to enjoy. Thank you for taking us along. ❤❤❤

Philippines has the best Barbers they have full service down to shoulder massage after the haircut. Sadly I asked to trim my eyebrows also and they always go so thin lol

Love your takes on the chef discussions. 😅
Hey Tim, ridge or ekster?

Hello Tim, Gong Xi Fa Cai !!! Thanks for taking as along your journey. The place looks amazing. Wow, the food looks so good 😋 yummy uni, I love uni. Cavíar is yummy. I love it. It reminds me of my younger days when I used to go out with a Persian guy who loves beluga caviar so we had caviar in every meal. The food there is very unique and I would love to try it too. Thanks Tim for featuring this great place. Ciao🇵🇭
Don’t they have air conditioners there???
Two things:
1. The chef told you it was a "one-biter." You repeated it back to the camera, saying it was a "one-biter." And then you ate it in two bites?! What in the hell is wrong with you?
2. You said "finger-licking good" twice after licking your fingers. Dude, do you have any idea how disgusting that is?! You're in a nice restaurant licking your fingers?! Hell, I don't care if you're at a $5 buffet. That shit is not acceptable.
Another wonderful video ❤ and its a 'mad da lin' (madeline)
Tim that food looked scrumptious you looked like you enjoyed the food very much. Are you ready for a lunch meal yet? Have a great day
Awesome thank you for sharing.
Thank you for another wonderful video Tim. I smiled throughout and the pineapple comment gave me a good laugh. Pineapple on pizzas should always win 🙌🏻😂 . Glad you had a wonderful time.
