  1. I have perfected French toast.

The first thing that you need to know about how to make the perfect French toast is that it's basically a stovetop custard that's been absorbed into a bread. When you think about that, you want to consider how to increase the custard flavor, and get the bread to absorb as much as possible. The bread doesn't need to be stale or baked beforehand. The real secret is to add a bunch of flour to the batter, which drastically increases absorption. To make the batter custody, there should be whole milk, eggs, egg yolk, a good deal of salt, vanilla and a tiny bit of sugar (less sugar than a normal custard because you will probably put syrup on top). You can also add other flavorings such as a tablespoon or two of bourbon. Then you want to make sure that the bread is absorbing a bunch of liquid before putting it on the stove top.

The other important thing to think about is the type of bread you use. A lot of people use challah. My favorite is limoncello pandoro (not pannetone), which I buy from an Eataly location once a year. You can use sourdough, cinnamon bread, or even cake!

To cook, sear for about 30 seconds on one side then partially cover for a minute or two to cook the inside but not enough to make it dry, then uncover and flip to the other side. If you're using a very rich type of bread or cake, you might want to sear with oil, otherwise use butter.

  2. I’m not a connoisseur, so give me French Toast from two days ago old Challah bread a beaten egg, a little cinnamon fried in butter and warm Maple Syrup fresh coffee and I’m more than happy to enjoy the most important meal of the moment!

  3. He was a little rude to that poor little tree trunk, so I’m glad he apologized it and made it right. Tree trunks lives matter.

  4. Watching these boys eat is like commuting behind a learner driver towing a caravan! 😂

  5. Brit exposed to superb French cuisine are shocked because they are so used to their own primitive native cooking.
