The only comfortable 787 economy class is Japan Airlines' international 787 everyone else is not comfortable
Was Paris your final destination or you continued further?
Not surprised the cuisine was bland. The French have been coasting on their laurels for quite some time now, and I have been underwhelmed food-wise whenever I visit France.
Only sweets and pastries are the only French food I approach these days..

Très inconfortable la classe économique. On peine à se lever ou se mettre debout. On mange mal. Je viens de faire Paris Atlanta et Atlanta Paris.. pour avoir un deuxième café on a l'air de déranger l'hôtesse de l'air… C'est toujours inconfortable avec air France….

I do wish seats had more legroom and were more comfortable in general, but if you're tall maybe you should choose a more legroom seat or an exit row. Even at an extra inch not sure it's gonna be more comfortable for you.
I flew Air France from JFK to CDG this past October. Flight 001. I thought it was a good economy. The lack of over head air vents was my biggest complaint. The 777- 300 ER was very hot. I would definitely fly Air France again.
You're traveling economy of course it's not going to be comfortable so you don't really have anything to complain about you get what you pay for or don't pay for
How was the air turbulence? It looked choppy from the video.
I dunno if I could ever choose AF for any reason when I could get a better configuration (2-3-2 or 2-4-2) on DL from basically every one of their hubs. 🤣
Hmmm… always thought economy on Air France’s 787 looked pretty good… especially for only a 7-8 hour flight. But maybe not quite?
Also I have noticed the turbulence over northeastern Canada and the Atlantic Ocean has been getting pretty rough…
Don't expect a comfortable economy class on any of B787 no matter which company you fly. Avoid this plane if you can't afford at least premium economy. The 787 was meant to be configured 2-4-2 (like A330), but unfortunately all but one airline (JAL) decided to kill the economy passengers opted for the 3-3-3 layout.
