SLAM CUTTER – ANECDOTAL When I make Jambalaya for the family, it is in large batches. I have a larger square-shaped 'chipper', similar to the one you have. And while it cuts chips perfectly, albeit not larger potatoes, it is perfect for cubing the 'holy Trinity' (Cajun mirepoix), having to just cut slices of pepper and onion that will fit into the slicer, as well as halfling the celery to dice them all up. In addition, there is a rather large well for the trinity to fall into, making it easy to cut everything together.
The model I have also allows you to cut julienne, with an even smaller cutting insert. It is dual purpose built, but I use it mostly for mirepoix and trinity…saves me a lot of dicing time.
These things are excellent for the young or elderly, but only when they’re made well. I’ve got a steel fry slicer that was made in the 80’s, it still works like new.
Get a old Veg-a -magic cir 1970's made in the USA and it does more than that once time use piece of plastic. I use one for caning for close to 20 years and the blades stay sharp for years. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I've had the "single use" one for over a year and use it pretty regularly. Never had any issues with it, hasn't fallen apart, and I don't have to smack the shit out of it when doing bigger potatoes. Idk what was wrong with the one in the video or if it was used incorrectly, but still, don't believe everything you see online.
We had something similar to that in a restaurant I worked in, but it was made of pretty much solid steel. In the context of making a restaurant-rush level of chips this is a great idea, but maybe not so much in a domestic setting unless you’re making a months supply at a time lol

Fire that you used jdilla
Would work for eggs and mushrooms
Most of the products people think is unnecessary are perfect for disabled people. Like this one if you have arthritis or are an amputee.
Try it with a carrot or a cucumber 🥒 🥕
this will confuse americans so much lol

Like watching a child put the big circle in the little square slot of a toy haha
I don't use it for chips. I use it for dicing onions. Works fabulously well for that.
W dilla
Do seafood boil
These crappy gadgets pollute like a hundred plastic bags they are the worst
Dilla! ❤
They’re good for disabled people who don’t have the dexterity to use a knife
And you just don’t use potatoes that are clearly too big for it
Those are frys not chips

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Used to love this beat thanks for bringing it back in rotation
man of culture playing dilla
Wow, that really is a “P.O.S.“ And therefore, I give it a thumbs down, but not for the creator – definitely the inventor!
yikes just the design looks bad. Talk about maximizing friction potential.
We had something similar in the 60s or early 70s. It wasn't worth the effort of cleaning it.
As a rule of thumb I stay away from single use kitchen items
That thing is a unitasker. It only does one thing.
I'm with Alton Brown: never buy a unitasker. Want chips? Get out a knife.
OOOOOOO HE MEANS FRY'S
a gift like this to a chef .. its a little offensive
I used these for years, how tf did you break em so fast
There might be better designed and built ones out there

Things like this, though maybe a better model, are good for people with athritic, weak or unstable/shaky hands.
There is one single use tool that you might find useful:
it's called "the Potato Peeler"…
😉😁
And tag the product and company
Alright, chef, but not all of us have the knife skills to cut good fries. Mind you, I would still probably get a better 1 than that.
Temu
"also makes juillien fries! Will not break! Will not break! It broke…"
I have a vegetable chopper. I love it. I use it to chop carrots and potatoes. It is wonderful.
It doesn't work, it made fries instead of chips
Those are fries, not chips
I make chips with a mandolin slicer. it has a setting for chilps or fries as we say here.
So, the thing falls apart so it can be easily cleaned
There's a reason why the slicers and dicers we used in all the kitchens I worked in were made of solid steel, and got their blades replaced regularly.

Fries…
If it were better quality, I think it would be good for someone with arthritis or poor motor skills.
They also make mandoline slicer blades which seperate out the potato to give you fries
I picked one up from an op shop for a couple dollars and only use it for dicing my onions really quick. Works fine and less tears.
I thought it was for making crisps.
Where he smashed on the table it sounded like yonkers 😂
My kitchen isn't big enough for plastic crap.
The metal ones do the same thing.
