  1. This is great, it's really helping me compile a set of reference notes for France.
Going to binge-watch the whole France series and take notes on the side, so I might be asking a lot of questions along the way.
Such as, what was your source for your maps and such? Especially the main one at 0:41.
I'd like to print/trace out a few of my own, but I couldn't find any that I could understand at a glance, especially region-specific ones.

    Thanks again!

  2. Thank you so much for producing these videos. I’m learning all about wine now and reading The Wine Bible as part of my education. Your videos are invaluable, as I learn more about the various countries and regions of origin, grapes, styles, and more. This is precious info… thank you for taking the time to make them. I create educational YouTube content for a living, and I know how much work goes into each of these!

  3. LOVE IT. I wanna zoom on that map though… I do motion graphics for a living… hit me up if you need/want help. 🙂

  4. Great video ….. lots of information 👏
Please go ahead …. Plz add more videos about other regions also
    🤝

  5. "Entre-Deux-Mers" I was reading the Bordeaux entry in the OCW the other day, and on reflection, it suddenly struck me that the two seas are the flood of right bank, and flood of left bank wines! Millions of hectoliters… anyway, just thought i'd share that with you.

  6. i have been learning a lot from you. really easy understanding. Thank you for all the good works, you are amazing.

  7. Fun fact, phylloxera is actually not TECHNICALLY an aphid. they have their own entire classification, and are not aphididaes

  8. Great video, thanks for the helpful summary.

One quick "typo", perhaps. At 7:14, do you mean "it's rare to see a Left Bank…" rather than "it's rare to see a Right Bank with as much as 75% of the blend being Cabernet Sauvignon"? Considering that you just mentioned that Right Bank blends have "as much as 85% or more Merlot", which would obviously imply Right Bank wines don't have a preponderance of Cab Sauv (a point you made very clear on the previous slide).

  9. Bad news: at 2:24, YouTube's CC machinery captions "between two rivers and not seas" as "between two rivers and Nazis"

I kinda doubt you can do anything about this, but just wanted to let you know.
