I'm pretty sure they always keep the rings! I live in Utah, and we still have the rings from hosting the Winter Olympics in 2002, they just added the upcoming Winter Olympics hosted here in 2034! Right outside the SLC airport, it is pretty cool to see
Mary you're doing what some of us small town girls couldnt/can't do, which I love and am inspired by! I've moved away from my rural state twice and I keep coming back. I got married and had two kids in my early 20's and haven't been able to afford to travel far yet. In 2025 our goal is to get our passports and start traveling with our kids now that they are a little older and more tolerant of travel times. Experiences are something we enjoy doing with our children and to be able to show them the world will be my ultimate goal.

One of my friends was actually in Paris for the Olympics over the summer. She got to see my favorite athlete compete for Team USA (she plays for one of the smaller basketball teams.) Funny enough, there was actually one day that she went to the Louvre and saw her walking with her brother and boyfriend, and she was gonna tell her that if they were to go in…..to not even bother seeing the Mona Lisa because it’s not even that big and the way people hype it up, you’re almost expecting it to be this massive mural or a much bigger painting than what it is. It’s probably the length and width of two standard American history textbooks. She almost went up to her (the athlete was basketball player Hailey Van Lith) but she didn’t wanna ruin the moment for her especially since that was Hailey’s first time in Paris whether she ended up going into the Louvre or not.
