  1. Why not make videos this length; but ALSO make videos that are a bit shorter, so as to cater to the tastes of those who may also prefer a shorter video? How about some shorts? It’s worth experimenting with new things to see what engages people.

  2. I’ll watch them no matter how long they are. You can’t rush the chef when he’s teaching.

  3. Brilliant – thanks Chef that has made me very hungry!
I’m sure your guests will be very impressed!👌😁👨🏽‍🍳

  4. I’m in agreement with everyone else, keep up the full length videos and let them take as much time as you need! The insight and wisdom you impart, along with your humor is what makes your channel so unique and great!
One question though, and please don’t get mad, but did I miss you salting the tenderloin, or did you not do it?
If you didn’t, was there a reason, or was it an oversight?
    Thanks!

  5. Best Chef on utube Chef Perrie is my go to Chef I love this guy he makes the complex look simple and he's so nice u gotta love this guy

  6. Chef James Makinson says i should get here and say hi. I've been following your channel for i don't even remember how long, so it feels wrong saying hi… but… Hi!

    Also, no shorter vids! NEVER!

  7. Breathe! You’re my inspiration! I’ve build a devoted clientele and a successful catering business as a personal chef from your trading. You’re wonderful!

  8. I like the real time videos that show all the steps. I have struggled with other youtubers because they cut out so many things to shorten the videos. Your videos are perfect because you not only show all the steps, what can go wrong, but also how long things take. There is no before and after, there is just cooking.

  9. Just because some people with TikTok brain syndrome cannot handle any video over a few mins you should not bow down too them. I love longer videos over short ones. From your comments section longer videos is the popular decision 😂

  10. Thank you Chef for another Great Instalment… I have to reiterate, on behalf of those of us who have more than a few minutes of concentration….. ignore the complainers of the long length of your videos, they are "Ding-dongs" As you say, doing it like you do means people can do it in real time with you. And the way you encourage learners that there is nothing they can't do is wonderful at helping people's confidence. Keep up the great work JP.

  11. I lose my confidence when cooking for other people, except my closest friends who I make cook with me. 😇 This holiday feast lesson to do the day before is invaluable, and puts me in a festive fun mood. It's elegant too. A phenomenal feast, come over.

  12. Love your videos long as they are, but please Chef cut down on the drinking while your making the videos as it’s obviously impacting and impacting the quality of your content and your audience❤ Stay Healthy!

  13. The very best cooking videos I've seen. Brilliant, friendly, funny, encouraging. He's incredible! 😊 Oh, and I don't think they're at all too long. The number of things he does in a short video is astounding. it teaches you how many different things you can do in a kitchen in real time!

  14. Please don't shorten your videos. I love that you give us the steps as you do them. I feel you're right there guiding me as I prepare my meals. Thank you, Chef.

  15. While I've spent the holidays alone for decades now, I still appreciate a well cooked holiday meal. One day, I hope to be able to afford the ingredients again, at least. Familial trauma and disability poverty, and all I get each year is what I see on YouTube.

It sounds pathetic, but I try not to wish for things I know I was never meant to have. But the food? I hope it becomes affordable again one day.

  16. No to shorter videos!!! I love learning about actual technique , the why behind the instruction. Thanks for all you do Chef!

  17. Had to watch the video on the tenderloin prep at 6am the other morning. The trimmings got used in a batch of beef stock. Kitchen smelled amazing.

  18. no issues with the length of the clip, like your work chef. "its all in the details" and the details are lost in short clips, if ppl want short clips well they can read the book…cook book

  19. We love the longer videos! I don't think a recipe should be shared in only a couple of minutes. Far too little time to adequately demonstrate the process of a recipe. Besides, trying to read ingredients/measurements in the description of a Tik Tok is awful. I suppose it's ok to just get a quick inspo video out, but a whole recipe…. Nah, I don't think it works well.

  20. Many have already said this, but your videos are exactly the length they need to be for all of us to follow along! Especially us home chefs who benefit from seeing things step by step.

  21. Hey Chef! Everyone in here suggests longer videos, but sometimes I just need a quick video and an idea before I run to the grocery store. Why not have longer videos and then create a "series" of shorter easy meals (advertised as such). "Chef Jean-Pierre – Quick & Easy" or whatever.

  22. I just bought a whole tenderloin for 16.99 a pound. That's a great price for choice from Publix here in Florida!

  23. Keep the videos full length! If their attention span isn't long enough to watch the full vid, let them go to their instant gratification apps.

  24. I don't get why people keep making those breadcrumb tomatoes. They're gross. Just turns into a soggy, soupy mess.

  25. Your videos are perfect, longer is better because its like we are with you and doing it together, and just watching how it develops is key to really understanding…CHEF John Pierre is the absolute best !
