Sometimes you just watch the shows enjoying the entertainment. Here I watch this one and I'm totally jealous, I want to taste all of those! Even try to make some!
What about the breakfast juice. I was so waiting to see what you all thought…
Bravo, Ben!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
this beg the show idea one main ingredient chef vs normal what can you do with it in 45 min as a whole meal.
I absolutely love ambrosia apples that with peanut butter is so awesome.
Have you guys tried cotton candy grapes?
Honestly never realized how incredibly diverse apples were. Some vague rules and tartness considerations but this was a real masterclass
Thoroughly enjoyed the video and Ben’s presentations. The only critique I would have is that it should have profiled the myriad of wonderful apples grown in the UK.
I could watch Ben in the kitchen forever, obsessed with this format!
Braeburn is my absolute favorite apple. But I haven't been able to buy it in years because it's too old a variety and doesn't have a patent where corporations can earn money. So they breed it to make other varieties, but I don't like those varieties as much.
Speaking of apples, everyone knows the usa is full of nothing but bad ones.
seriously how could he cook all of that WHILE explaining all the flavor combinations?!
6:18 Didn't know Ben was such an ally
Ben did absolutely AWESOME!!! Love from Germany
Ben going into that flame with the metal tweezers really had me worrying about burning his hand as they get hot, but I guess he wasn’t in there long enough.
Iron Chef Apple!
Felt like such a proud Aussie, when the “Granny Smith” appeared👍🏼🥰
Apple spread, Apple flapjacks (American style pancakes with grated apple in the batter, served with maple syrup, apple tart tatin, baked apples, apple and cinnamon tea/coffee cake, potato pancakes/hasgbrowns with stewed apple on top.
My only ideas lol
what im getting is Parisian spoon = melon baller
Ben is so amazing. He’s my celebrity crush
I prefer Ben to Kush. Kush is a bit to erratic for me.
oh hell yes new favourite episode – apples are SUPER good for you but my brain just rests on raw or cook for sauce with pork, this makes me want to try so many more things with it! *adding juicer to my xmas list for santa* Would love to see more episodes like this for things like cabbage etc that I never know what to do with
Absolute pleasure watching Ben go to work. Those all looked outstanding and I love the highlighting of all the different roles apples can play in cooking.
My favourite way to cook with apples is either just fill the gaps between chicken pieces while baking them (creates a really tasty sweet&salty side for the baked chicken) or chop an apple and toss it on a pan with chicken liver and walnuts. Definitely gonna try some of these recipes tho, loved the vid! ❤
What an amazing episode; thank you! And what a tour de force by Ben! Loved it.
How I use apples – baked apples, pork chops with fried apples, applesauce, fruit salad, orange juice on apples to stop oxidation, stuffing/dressing, spiced apple cake, hot apple cider (non-alcoholic) with tuaca and a cinnamon stick, chopped dates and apples in a Bundt cake, chopped or grated apple in sausages, grilled cheese and sliced apples sandwich, Sliced apples with blue cheese, dutch boy with sliced apple, carrot and apple muffins, Waldorf salad – some ways I use apples
So when are you guving us that cheat sheet Mike?
If you have never had them try Pink Lady apples they are delicious my favorite apple by far
Apples can be a great alternative to Asian pear in Korean dishes like kimchi, bulgogi and steamed bossam etc. And let’s not forget it’s love story paring with pork either!
Oh look it's the type of content I originally subscribed for, love these types of educational and challenging videos. Good to see those back!
Ben could have made even MORE apple dishes if the apples had been prepped, i.e., chopped, cored, grated, etc. (like the other ingredients were).
I don't understand how the distinction was made in terms of what was allowed to be done beforehand and what wasn't.
The tart pastry was formed, the dry ingredients were measured for the porridge, cake ingredients portioned, beef carpaccio prepped, …. 🤷♀
You shouldn't forget that Ben is the OG, and he will always be the OG
I love Apple in a kinda Indian chicken spicy curry, the spice and sweet work together so well
Thanks
This was a very inspiring dish, it was a joy to watch.
That was amazing to watch! Thanks Ben
an apple a day keeps the doctor away… well, not if you flambe it
keep your eyebrows safe!
It's really incredible to watch Ben work like that while discussing the dishes and his rationale! It's so much fun to watch someone in their element and firing on all cylinders like that!
Would love to see more of this format. 30 minute ingredient showcase. Nearly infinite possibilities.
The US also has a ton of varieties, most of which we have one by the same name here out of the ones featured. I tend toward empire, mitsu and zestar for my apples.
Barry’s got some wonderful sounds lol
I’d like to see another how many dishes can a chef make in 30 minutes but with another main ingredient like beetroot. Really enjoyed the video.
This makes me sad about Brexit!!! (again!)
Now just imagine what Ben could do if Pass it On was just himself 😂
this is too chaotic and hasty
This video just made me really happy. Good vibes, chef goes wild and lots of inspiration. More of this 🎉❤
So fun! Loved this vid, fellas!
