  1. Great Top 10 list of wines Agnese❤🎉 You're always the top one of Wine YouTubers every year 🍷🍾🥂🍾🍷

  2. Had Pieropan La Rocca for the first time last night. Sensational! Easily one of my top wines this year. Antinori’s Tig has been on my to do list for some time, but price a bit prohibiting. Maybe next year?

  3. So hard to pick a top list with all the amazing wines available, and all the ones we cannot get. Thank you for taking the time on and sharing your own list. This has been quite a wine year for me, I’ve had some ultra premium (04 Lopez de Heredia Grand Reserva Blanco, 2012 Henschke Hill of Grace) and fantastic white Lambrusco (Cantina Della Volta) made in the traditional method and many others in between. I do think the one wine that stands out for the year was the 75 Thuevin-Calvet Maury VDN, a 50 year old Grenache that had complexity for days. Cheers!

  4. You leave me no choice but to share your video. And it’s not about having similar tastes; in fact, I don’t even know half of the wines you suggest. It’s about the way you taste and the passion you pour into it, changing metaphors and the boring jargon (although you do use it, there’s no other way), but you really try to “convey something more”… you’re not driven solely by “business,” but by a true passion.

    In short, I have no choice but to share your video for a very, very, very, very simple reason: truly and without any poses, façades, or the slightest hint of snobbery… YOU REALLY LOVE WINE.

    PS: and you also help discover hidden gems, promote affordable wines, and reject simplistic comparisons with legendary areas (NO, a good Aglianico from Taurasi is NOT a damn “Barolo of the South”).

  5. My favorite wines this year have almost exclusively been aged and ready to go wines I've snapped up on the secondary market. Whether it's 2016 La Crema Sara Lee Chardonnay, 2014 cuvee Frederic Trimbach Reisling or 2010 Thorne Clarke William Randell shiraz. For me the joy is not just about good, it's about ready to rock and at the right price too.

  6. Très chère Agnès d'amour …Toujours aussi passionnée et enjouée …! Hi , Maybe you can help me here : When I was 16 , I got initiated to Grands Vins. Right away , I associated quality with that unique taste , i could smell right after opening and that then (circa 1982) was very present from start to finale. I would describe it as Oak , Cassis , cedar, Graphite , and vanilla as the vertebral column , very extracted , very round and velvety , lots of glycerin. Mostly in St-Julien and Margaux, but also Pomérol (more on the black cherry side) and some Bourgognes I remember (Beaune PC , Pommard , Bonnes Mares , Corton HdB)
    In those days , wines where sold ''ready to drink'' (8- 12 yrs old) Las Cases 1971 : $11 , Barton 1973 :$13 (bought a Latour for $10 once !) DRC where between $100 and $250 All available on the shelves !!! (too bad I didnt know better then). My point is , I dont find that unique taste anymore ; on the finale sometimes, but never as strong as in those days. I understand wines have been ''Parkerised'' and Mr Parker and I have different tastes . Or is it me , getting old and not tasting the same ? What do you think ? Any idea of a wine that would be old school (I'm about to open a Rauzan-Segla 2010 and a Branaire-Ducru 2009 , out of desperation , my best guesses) enough to satifsy my nostalgia ? That would be a good topic : What have we lost with Parkerisation ? Diversity and expressions, I would think. Thanks PP

  7. Great video as always. Fantastic selection. Hopefully in 12 months there will be a No Sediment 2025 edition.😊

  8. Agnase, have you ever done a tasting of Sovetskoye Shampanskoye, Soviet Champagne? I cannot find any decent video reviews of it, and since you live in a former Soviet republic, you may have better access to the modern-day producers of it.

  9. What a neat variety of wines!! I aspire to try more of the different grapes, regions, and styles in the coming years!

  10. I've added the Supersonico to my wish list now.

    Some of my top wines of the year include –
    * several Georgian and Moldovan wines
    * Alvear Solera 1927 Pedro Ximenez
    * 2021 Il Guercio from Tuscany
    * 2016 Pursued by Bear (Washington State Cab)
    * 1997 Taylor's Vintage Port
    * a few Greek Assyrtikos
    * 2019 Avignonesi VNdM

  11. Im sorry, the top 100 spectator wines are heavily weighted by the campaign and palms greased done by the wineries

  12. Great to see Bodega Frontonio on your list 🍷, we met Fernando at a tasting at our local wine supplier and were mesmerised by his passion; we're hoping to visit his Bodega next autumn.

  13. I much prefer hearing the top 10s of experts such as Agnese over Wine Spectator. I don't know why I, but I don't 100% trust the top 10 lists of these publications. There must be so many vested interests involved. Plus, almost their entire top 10 this year was VERY expensive.

  14. You surprised me 😊, I would’ve bet a lot of money that there would have been at least one Nebbiolo on your list 😅.

  15. My 2024 highlights and what I will drink more in 2025:
    Saint Joseph
    Langhe Nebbiolo
    Value red burgundy (like Fixin)
    Jura Chardonnay
    Pinot Blanc from Alsace
    White Rioja

  16. Seeing Carles Andreu in the list makes me really proud from where I live. I always have said that this brand is one of the best quality-price wise in Cava and sparkling in general

  17. That was great, Agnes. I especially liked you picking the Frontonio. Great stuff, real terroir wine.

  18. Most interesting list. Unfortunately not many were available here but no 1 is so I will def go for it. What dish do You think would go best with that wine? I have tried Five Generations Chenin Blanc from SA and it was stunning. We hade some foire gras and bread with it. Very very good combo. Have a feeling that FMC could be even better. Cant wait.

  19. Great video Agnese, much more interesting than WS's. Seeing mainly white and sparkling wines was a nice touch, I think that's what people these days want and where the market is headed.

    I moved to Hungary last November, so my list is all Hungarian. While dry Furmints are continually improving, now high quality Rieslings are becoming a niche product and are quite unique.

    Top flight Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and blends based on them from Villany and Szekszard have really improved. 2016 & 2017 drinking particularly well atm.

    2021 Aszu is supposed to be one of the best yet, I will find out soon.

    FYI, from my 2024 YouTube Recap it informed me that I have spend more time watching your channel than any other. 😂 Thanks for sharing this video with us and looking forward to the next one. Cheers!

  20. Although you’re not staffed like Wine Spectator, your viewers trust your opinion more. That’s because you’re a real person we can get to know over this platform and are not a faceless entity. So, I think your ratings are better for me.

  21. Frau Agnesse, Ihr Sommelier-Wissen überrascht mich von Tag zu Tag mehr. Ich gratuliere Ihnen und mache weiter. Gott segne sie und möge ihr Schutzengel immer bei ihr sein. Gruß Gott!

    My wine Higlight from 2024 is a Chablis and a LießeFrauMilch! Kuss, kuss!

  22. A fine listing! Delighted to see the FMC atop the list! It's a wine which – despite its cult following in some quarters – remains undersung. I also totally suggest seeking out and trying the FMC's 'baby brother' – the KF Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc. For about 35-40% of the cost of the FMC (~£17 UK vs ~£45 UK), it does almost what the FMC does, and ages beautifully. It lacks the honey viscosity of the botrytis hit in the FMC, but it's incredible value. And no swearing is required in telling is story… 🙂
