Come and discover my family’s new home in rural France. We’re leaving the United States and will move to this home full time. We’re still getting everything set up!
What are your plans for renovations? Restore, modern, between? If there are others in the area renovating, you might find some items there. What an adventure ❣️
Beautiful little town! Once you have your gites ready a lot of chateau owners will have volunteers who come for up to 90 days and they help you clean, paint, landscape 40 hours a week for free and in turn you give them a room and maybe a meal a day for the help. 🥰
Hello again!!! Can’t wait for your journey to renovate your chateau!! Beautiful town you live by!!! I most definitely will see you in a year!! Be safe!! When is your family coming back?? Lots of love from Tennessee ❤❤❤
Caisse d'épargne is a bank in france. If the traditional bank have limited numbers of shareholders, une caisse had the contribution of it clients as shareholders , the clients deposit a certain amount and get percentage in return with limited risk….most of people use it for their retirement benefits. It function like a bank.
OMG you get to say "MY" town! I"m beyond excited for you! It is just adorable! I hope you find the best boulangerie and make lots of friends. I bet your kids will love the pizza machine!
As you were walking across the square describing the little restaurants i was imaging you and your family sitting at one of the tables and you were enjoying a glass of wine after a satisfying day of work on your building . Roll on next summer 😊
What an idyllic town!!! So happy for you! I am now wondering what you will be talking about one year from today? Who will you meet? How much will you change? Looking forward to knowing all these things!
What part of France is your little town near it is very quaint and that Abbey looks like a castle. I'm thinking SW if we ever move out there cause I heard the weather is more moderate. Not so hot in the summer and not so cold in the winter. Are there lots of chateaus near your town? Are you near the mountains or coast? I'm sure we will find out once you've settled there just curious and patience is not my strength.
Tourism office serve more purposes than just tourism. Over the years, they also serve to inform about the village/city events and activities, interesting sites to visit around, events around and sometimes available guest houses or temporary lodging.

Épargne in the bank’s name caisse d’épargne means “savings”. Épargner is to save

How nice to be able to walk a short distance to have lunch or dinner!
I hope to at some point in my life to follow your path…I want to renovate a chateau and create an artists retreat.
You may have said and I missed it so forgive the question.
Are you going home for the holidays or are they coming to you?
