Absolutely worth the drive! I’ve always heard I had to visit Dahlonega, and this weekend, it finally happened. A group of us carpooled up north and let me tell you—we had an unforgettable time! I’ve been to plenty of vineyards, but nothing compares to this.
The scenery felt like we’d driven straight out of the country. Sure, the vineyards were barren after harvest season, but it didn’t take away from the charm one bit!
We had brunch reservations (a must!), and it was lucky we got there early. We snagged a spot on the open-air patio with the autumn breeze rushing through—just perfect. The weather warmed up to a comfy 76 degrees, so no worries there!
Let’s talk about that pineapple mimosa—divine! You could taste the real pineapple juice, and the champagne balance was spot-on. For my entree, I went with the French toast and eggs. The toast? Absolute perfection—not too soft, not too dry. The eggs? A little runny, but it didn’t spoil the moment.
Afterward, we headed to the tasting room for wine flights! It had been years since my last tasting, and this was long overdue. Our server was super attentive and had tons of knowledge to share about each wine we tried.
This trip was absolutely incredible. The only regret? We didn’t have time to check out Trattoria, the family-friendly restaurant on-site. I wouldn’t recommend the main spot if you’ve got kids with you, but next time, I’m definitely hitting up Trattoria!
Can’t wait for round two. #ashsaidit #ashsaidit® #montaluce #montalucewinery #trattoria #dahlonega #georgia #theashsaiditshow
