Budget red wine review under $20 Canadian
This is a 2020 Apothic Winemakers Red Blend (Zinfandel/Merlot) 13.5% wine that would normally serve as an entry level wine at most restaurants. Of all the Apothic Red Blends this is probably their best vintage and an easy to drink wine for experienced or new red wine lovers. There is a nice complexity to this wine and can be consumed on it’s own or with most foods. We wouldn’t want this wine any sweeter or with more vanilla (french oak), but it seems to cover enough bases that at the cost of $14 Cdn is a winner on many fronts. If you haven’t tried this wine and this vintage, give it a whirl…it’s great value for sure! We hope you enjoy the review…we’re going to keep on drinking!
