The restaurant used to be called 'le roc du boeuf' and was run by two French sisters. The food was incredible (and I've dined in many a French restaurant), innovative and always with fresh ingredients from their father's allotment. Sadly they sold up, and someone took it over, but Covid came along and ruined things for the new owners. I haven't been back since, but glad it still functions.

Nice video where did you get the washing machine from did you fit that in the back of the car, As a point of reference I have Candy washer dryer. Carnt believe you got your carte vital I live in the same region and totally different experience. The restaurant looked nice and tucked away, I keep out of restaurants in my area to many ex-pats in them. builders are still here. Have to send you some pictures when I got a chance, Merci
Congratulations on the carte de vitale, we got ours last year and our carte de séjour. Working on the permis de conduire this year, supposed to be easy with the reprecipity agreement for our current drivers license. Time will tell. French bureaucracy isn't bad, just "thorough"😂. Also, 967 days on duo?, excellent.
Great video and lovely scenery to watch, shame about the washing machine, good job you noticed the smoking, we had our 9 year old Tumble dryer changed for a new one last year under the recall notice. because too many were catching fire.

that resteraunt is famous with the brits, i uSed to be called THE ROCH DE BOEF, WE HAD PROPER NIGHTS OUT THERE BANDS WERE FANTASTIC.
Evening Rob have fun with you mum n bruv, we also ad several electrical maladies with french kit, (well bought in France), nearly there mate with the carte vitel dont forget to re register it yearly at your local pharmacist, (if your on reg meds it will be done by the pharmacy automatically as it flagged up by their till, I’m led to believe) the ugly half 🇫🇷

un croque-monsieur ? ça peut se faire la maison, si vous passez par l'Alsace j'espère que essaierez la cuisine locale (pareil pour les autres régions), peut-être que flammekueche, fleischnaka, baeckeoffe ça sera dur à prononcer mais tarte flambée ça devrait aller, et puis il y a aussi la choucroute.
Coincidentally, I read something recently saying that one of the most common causes for house fires was faulty washing machines and tumble dryers – scary considering most of us don't know they're faulty until they start smoking! 🙀So it seems you were definitely lucky that it didn't happen when you were asleep or just after you left the house! Phew!. Le restaurant français looked nice 🇫🇷❤.

What a lovely village. Love the stone/tiled streets. There are some buildings that need a bit of tlc. Food looked yummy especially the dessert. Oh Dear I’ve never seen that happen to a washing machine before. Ours packed up a couple of weeks back. It’s a very expensive Bosch machine that everyone raves about. Made a racket and smelt weird. Also it wasn’t even 2 years old. We had to wait for a week to get a Serviceman only to be told that. 5 cent coin was stuck in the drainpipe. So embarrassing 😬🤔

Been following your journey from the start, watched this video last night sat in my house in Wrexham, popped in there for lunch today after landing in Limoges!! Lovely food, very reasonable and a pretty little bistro. Next few days out and about visiting the area checking out where we will look to retire to.
